This letter is to inform you of the current status of our progress on disposition of equipment
under subject contract and to request fluffier guidance based on additional information. SAIC has
contacted and setup an appointment with the moving company that Ms. Barbara Stephens,
DCMAO, had recommended, We understand that they will provide a written quote to DCMAO
on the cost of packaging/crating and shipping the equipment to the Government facility. This
quote should be provided by the end of the first week in February. SAT will be required to have
one individual at the site while the equipment is packed. The moving company will provide an
estimate as to the time required and SAIC will provide to you an estimate for the required time,
The moving company did not anticipate a problem with delivery of the equipment to the
Government facility by the end of February.
I have enclosed a revised equipment list. This list replaces the one provided in the reference (1)
letter. As you will note we have organized the equipment by DECAL number and deleted on item
from the list. This item was tagged as a piece of equipment when it is actually software;
therefore, we have deleted it from the equipment list. I have enclosed a separate list of the
software purchased under this contract. The majority of the software was purchased under the
previous contract and transferred to this contract. As you can see the software versions are not
the current market versions. SAIC requests disposition instructions for the enclosed software:
Abandon in place or transfer, when possible, the site use license to the Government. SAIC would
require reimbursement for the time it would require to contact each vendor to transfer each
license. We will provide an estimate for this service if requested.

As you are aware SAIC has purchased, per the enclosure, under the previous contract and current
contract. four SUN Microsystems UNIX workstation computers and their associated support
hardware and some basic image processing equipment. SATC anticipates that the services
provided under these two contracts will continue to be required by the Government and to
prevent a duplication of purchased equipment, we would request your reconsideration to abandon
in place the oldest of the computer systems. The oldest system would encompass the following
DECAL numbers from the enclosed equipment list: 060714-1, G60714, 060714-2, G60715,
G78546, G76930, G60716, 078541, and G60713. SATC would be willing to negotiate this
request.
