6. (S/NF/WN/SG/LIMDIS) Operations:
- To date, we have completed six projects in support of
PAN/PAG. Additional requirements from PAG-1 are
anticipated.
SG1A
- Seven projects were conducted in support of Joint
Interagency Task Force-West (formerly JTF-5)
requirements. Since 3 Mar 94 we have completed 29
projects.
- Four projects were conducted in support of Joint
Interagency Task Force-East (formerly JTF-4)
requirements.
- Software and the optical disk drive for our foreign data
base management system installed. We are awaiting for
the contractor to write the program that will preclude
the data to be stored on the hard disk drive.
- Forty five SRI/SAIC generated classified R&D reports
which were reviewed and declassified during the period
June-September 1994 have been received by Dr. Edwin
May, Director, Cognitive Sciences Laboratory, SAIC.
SAIC forwarding a letter to request relief from having
to republish redacted documents since they do not have
the originals. Once letter is received a response will
be prepared and coordinated with PSP and GC.
- 3 Oct 94: Meeting held with the Deputy, PGT-3, and GC
regarding our support to JIATFs'-East/West and JTF-6.
As a result we are now continuing our operational
support effort.

PAG/PA/PC/PSP/PSL/GC to DR regarding our TDY to the 82nd
Airborne Division, Fort Bra , N.C. Subject of the memo

- 6 Oct 94: DHO transmitted our validated 10 and CSR for
action by HUMINT collection field elements and the DAS.
Copies provided to PAG/PA for information.
- 7 Oct 94: Personnel, Detachment 4, 67th IG, Andrews
AFB, were briefed by on our foreign
assessments effort. Briefing well received and they
stated they would support our collection requirements
effort. SAR submitted.
11 Oct 94: Provided a Project STAR GATE briefing to
DAMI-FIT, DCSINT, DIA. SAR
submitted.

- 17 Oct 94: Forwarded desk note to DR in response to his
question regarding the awareness by Mr. Linn Wells,
Deputy to the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy

transferring Activity functions to the CIA. Desk note
coordinated with Chief, PS. DR feedback concurred with
our course of action.
18 Oct 94: DHO, PSP and NMIPC personnel were briefed by

- 27 Oct 94: 1 was informed by the Chairman.
- With receipt of the Congressional language transferring
our program to the CIA effective 1 Jul 95 coordination
was effected with OC, DAH, and PFM-1. Coordination also

effected with the DIA representative on the CMS staff to
provide a briefing to key CIA personnel regarding the
mission and functions associated with this Activity.
It goes without saying that as we transition the
organization, we must remain sensitive to the concerns
of assigned personnel by keeping the "P" in personnel.
7. (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Future Highlights:
will be participating as a member of the TICR
needs wor ing group through the end of Nov. Following
will be representation on the architecture working
group. TICR report to be finalized by Feb 95.

benefits of open source for HUMINT ops.
