PROJECT NUMBER: 1002 SESSION NUMBER: 1
DATE OF SESSION: 10 MAY 88 DATE OF REPORT: 10 MAY 88
START: 1503 END: 1534
METHODOLOGY: CRV VIEWER IDENTIFIER: 025
1. (S/NF/SK) MISSION: Stage 1, Phase 1 training (but a Phase 2 site
was attempted). Site was Crater Lake (mountain/water interface).
3. (S/NF/SK) COMMENTS: 025 correctly perceived and decoded the
mountain gestalt. It was pointed out by the trainer that the
(excellent) representative ideogram "went away" as soon as it was
correctly decoded. The water (lake) presented a problem of
perspective; the viewer had not yet been trained to produce a circular
ideogram (i.e., a horizontal perspective), consequently decoding
(horizontal vs vertical) was difficult and AOL resulted. But the
trainer pointed out that the ideogram kept "coming back", reinforcing
the self-correcting feature of the ideogram.
025 still exhibits a tendency to "search" for a B_ prematurely, i.e.,
before gathering an adequate amount of percepts (after several
iterations of the coordinates). Also, there is still a residual
tendency to analyze the ideogram. These errors are easily
correctable, however.
Ideogram drills will follow this training session.
