Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789 R001500760001-2 ~NOFORN - HANDLE VIA SKEET CHANNELS ONLY PROJECT SUN STREAK (U) WARNING NOTICE: INTELLIGENCE SOURCES AND METHODS INVOLVED PROJECT NUMBER: 0182 SESSION NUMBER: 1 DATE OF SESSION: 4 MAY 88 DATE OF REPORT: 4 MAY 88 START: 0837 END: 0905 METHODOLOGY: CRV VIEWER IDENTIFIER: 025 1. (S/NF/SK) MISSION: The initial session in the CRV portion of this project's remote viewing training program. Site was mid-Atlantic ocean. 3. (S/NF/SK) COMMENTS: The presence of an observer in the RV room proved to be distracting; this procedure will be discontinued until a comfortable trainer-trainee rapport has become established. In the interim, session observation will take place (remotely) from the control room. PI - 025 was extremely "expectant"; this due primarily to the (mis)perception, based upon the lectures, that the "magic" (i.e., ideogram, etc.) would occur spontaneously from the very start--that it did not have to be taught. Consequently, a certain degree of(angst) was present on 025's part throughout the session because ideograms did not "feel spontaneous". Also, 025 seems by nature to be very impatient--but really apprehensive--of failing to meet what the viewer perceives as the performance standards. This behavior is normal on the part of a new trainee. 1) Counteracting the negative effects of the above; educating 025 about the pace and manner in which training proceeds--imbuing the trainee with a sense of the proper expectations. 2) Acquainting the viewer with the format (familiarization with the transcript layout) and mechanics of a CRV session; emphasizing structure vs "getting the site". 3) Establishing trainee. a comfortable working relationship with the new CLASSIFIED BY: DIA-DT DECLASSIFY OADR Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789 R001500760001-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789 R001500760001-2 GPE"I T/NOFORN - SKEET CHANNELS ONLY 4. (S/NF/SK) EVALUATION: Gil Most of the session was taken up with talking 025 through the proper procedures, vs attention to psychic performance.
