VIEWER IDENTIFIER: 025
1. (S/NF/SK) MISSION: Terminal Stage 3 training session, with the
objective of vector type (i.e., specific distance and direction from a
perceived target) movement exercises. Sites were selected from a map
sheet (see training target file) and distances/directions plotted
beforehand.
2. (S/NF/SK) VIEWER TASKING: After locking on to the initial target
(the Cape Charles Lighthouse) 025 was given a movement cue to a
racetrack (see attached), then later to points on the open sea.
3. (S/NF/SK) COMMENTS: Both prior to and during the session, 025 was
instructed in the purpose for and execution of Stage 3 movements.
(although the ideogram was initially decoded as vertical vs.
horizontal!). However, by the time 025 began the other moves, burnout
began to set in. The monitor sensed this but, through a lack of good
Judgement, pushed the viewer to perform anyway. Another "tactical
error" on the monitor's part was to inform 025, during the session
break, that this was to be the terminal Stage 3 session, thus inducing
the trainee to psychologically "wrap up the session" prematurely.
