1. ( lNF/ aF') MISSION: "t"o access and describe the tar-yet object
and event using Stages I-VI.
2. (S/NF/Shy::) VIEWER CUEING. Describe the event which occurred
at 12:3'7,08 on Oct.. 3, 1988, and the object involved in it.
(The event was the landing of the space shuttle Discovery).
(S.?3/NF'/SK) COMMENTS:
a. Inclemem'.'iesc None reported.
b. 025 c:Tc.?ci? r 4::T. y established that the event centered around
the motion of the object, and had, by Stage III identified the
object as a rocket. Having established that -fact, 025 became
fixed on the roc.::4:et ' s s 1. auncha , and was not able to move to the
tasked event, the landing of the shuttle. I learned later that
023 had seen the launch of Discover-y, s o there may have been some
Al involved, though none was apparent during the session.
C. 025's stage V:t: model was basically ';a large round tank
with side tanks (which 025 called ' bc)oster s t ') , and a raised
portion on the front, symbollic of the shuttle (see photos,
attache(:J) . Here, again, 02s had the cor"r"ect object, but the
wrong portion of the flight event.
d. I believe that a -time---line exercise would have solved
the entire problem very easily, but the session was ended be-fore
this was possible, due to ti. me constraints.
