d .
025 was experiencing a bit of confusion,. so. wai
.
introduced to the concept of Interim Summaries, f or the
purpose of backing away from the signal line and
clearing up in one's conscious mind what is going on in
the session. This helped, and 025 made several Interim
Summaries throughout the session.
The session progressed only through Stage 3
perceptions. By the time 025 was ready to proceed into.
Stage 4, the session had lasted an hour, so the session
was ended- The site will be continued into Stage 4
tomorrow.

ADDITIONAL SESSION:
a. STATISTICS: Date: 26 dUL 88
Start: 0845
End: 0945
b. PURPOSE: The previous session covered only stages 1-3.
The purpose of this session was to continue with the
same target site into stage 4 structure.
c. C(MMENTS:
1) 025 began the session in Stage 4, taking a few
pages to "get back into the site".
2) 025's ability to be unconsciously aware of and to
catch his/her own structural mistakes is becoming
very good. Several times during the session, a
structural error was made, but only one of them
had to be corrected. The others 025 caught as
they were made, and self-corrected.
3) 025 still needs work on mentally detatching from
the site during a break. Part of 025s problem
with this stems from a logical conflict which is
inherent in the instruction 025 has received:
A break cannot be a mental vacuum. In order for 025 (or any
other Viewer) to successfully break from the site,. some other ,
thoughts must be entertained. If the subject is not changed, in
some way, the Viewer's mind will be drawn from the mental vacuum
back to the site, and no break will have occurred. The
instruction, as it stands, however, teaches that the Viewing room
must be reserved for viewing, only, and that no other subjects of
interest should be brought into the room.
In general practice, most viewers and monitors naturally
engage. in idle chatter during the breaks, and there is no
problem. However, if taken literally, the instruction which we
presently give to new Viewers negates the possibility.pf. taking _
effective mental breaks from the site. The desire to do well
.. is
presently causing 025 to take this instruction very seriously,
and therefore very literally. The problem now arises that 1 .
cannot "relax" the restriction against using :the r'obm. for other
subjects without appearing to negate 025's prior instruction.
I would suggest that the instruction be changed and
clarified to new Viewers, to state that no important .or
emotionally charged subjects should be allowed into the room, but
that idle chatting and mundane talk of other subjectS-, for the
purpose of "grounding" during a break is permissible.

Notes for Lyn - 22 Jul 88
1. One of ways to recognize AOL in Stage 1--both monitor and
viewer should be on the lookout for this--is the 'questioning, or
rising, inflection during declaration of a B component. If its
present, then label the B 'AOL.'
2. Grab the CRV book and review objectification; you're correct
in your statement re. the potential for disaster by listing 'not
present' for undetected Stage 2s. But, also, don't allow verbal
self-cuing and/or a viewer's self-discussion during Stage 2. The
CRV method is a trade-off between trying to stay in the right-
brain site gestalt perception mode and the left-brain 'reporting'
mode. In other words, use the reporting mode only when there is
'message traffic'.
3. You probe the ideogram with the pen.
Sketching dimensionals allows for closer site contact (S.3)
and kinesthetic contact, via modelling, allows for even more
detail.
4. 025's frequent 'hot hand' is not a bi-lo indicator (it
happens on cold sites as well); we don't have a name for this
phenomenon in CRV. Often, when we experience 'pressure on the
head' or 'stabbing pain' it is simply labelled as an 'AI.' Its
tantamount to an unconscious, or ANS, Al.
5. Review movement exercises and the rationale behind them (I
personally do not agree with the rationale completely). However,
it is OK to be creative sometimes, as long as the cue is designed
to exercise the tremendous insight of the viewer's unconscious.
In other words, don't let your cue be AOL-stimulating/inducing
(unless you've reached the bottom of the barrel and have no other
choice, or you simply do not have enough time left to complete
the mission in the normally alloted amount of time).
6. You both done good--take it from an old burn-out.

1 1. Verbal self-cuing still occurring; the viewer need only
1/
(silently) explore each column (except AOL) with the pen, write
//".- down any percept present, and verbalize it--not use each one as a
discussion point! 025 has almost a continuous running self-
discussion where only quiet attention should prevail.
2. Sketches are used both to gain closer site contact as well as
to objectify data. Sketch labelling is fine, but only after the
labels have been first objectified in the appropriate column,
then transferred to the worksheet.
3. 025 is viewing as the interim summaries are being written;
notice how many new percepts appear in the summary which were not
present in the matrix.
4. "Work" is an 'I' and "space" is OK as a 'D'. But "workspace"
is a 'T'. This kind of discrimination and attention to detail is
central to CRV structure.
5. 025 does not recognize her own Al and does not take the
required 'Al Break'.
6. *** A/S means that the viewer has signal line contact but
does not possess a word-idea necessary to adequately express the
concept, and therefore must search the 'thesaurus' (i.e., is
forced to employ imagination) for something close (like 'blender'
for nuclear reactor). As a general rule:
"reminds me of = AOL vs. "like" = A/S
7. Summaries must be written before feedback is provided. Be
sure that data, not AOL, is summarized.

Summary
Initially, a water/land/structure interface was objecti+ied. At
this point, I concentrated on a man-made structure. I discovered
during this process that the site was hot with no smells or
I:. astes. The only colors perceived were white, black and gray.
The structure I +ocused on was thick, high, and appeared
I: riangular inshape. The stage three sketch on page seven
reflects this. More than one man-made at were located at
the site. The interim summary included high and low angles and
curved points on the separate man-made structures. Then I
concentrated on the inside o+ a building. I had the feeling of
being enclosed jn a room where work was being done with raised,
square (boxEd) objects that had screens. I then objectified
computers by utilizing an AOL break. A sketch illustrating this
is on page 3 of the second session. During stage four , I
determined that this was a business which involved advanced
technology programmed systems. Included in stage +our and a
hal +, was yellow and orange light on the screens representing
letters or syramlis. The idea of projects and data assessment
involving governmental matters came to mind. Then Si realized
that people were watching and monitoring the screens. Military
personnel were individually monitoring foreign defense systems
involving specialized technology.
