The target is a male person. He has short dark hair,
either brown or black, his eye color varies from blue to
brown, and his skin color from red to white. He is wearing
a blue, pin-stripped suit, white shirt, brown socks, black
shoes and a hat. He is tall, medium to skinny build, and
middle aged (older than me). He is strong, energetic,
powerful, happy, hard-working, learning, Hreli lous,
political and confused. He isOlealthy an deacL He makes
me feel uneasy. He reminds me of?GorbaCh , Hitler, and a
military, SS uniform yith black boots and a belt; German.
At the height of his career his principal activity was
vocal; talking, singing and speaking.
I see his outline with a tall, dark, long, vertical,
in the middle where his body should be. The first time I
saw him he was with three other shape.c/
There is a small blue square, with a circle in it, and
a yellow triangle within the circle. The entire square is
crossed by a diagonal.

In Marcel Ophuls"'Hotel Terminus:
The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie,"
Barbie himself is onscreen only bra
scant few minutes, yet his spirit falls
across the movie like a shadow.
Throughout the film, we're shown
photos of this man, known as "the
butcher of Lyons" for the crimes he
s Na Gelta o chief from
'2Qa2QQ1st2r.
This is because the images of him we've
made for ourselves are more vivid tha-:
the ones we're shown. And this with-
holding isn't accidental. Ophuls has kect
him from us intentionally, knowing that
the monster we imagine-is more formi-
dable than the man himself. And so
when Barbie is finally brought before
the camera, in a brief interview, 'we're
almost mythically, underwhelmed
Watching him, we can't believe that re-
ality has been so poorly cast.
