The vessel appears to be carrying contraband in bales or large,
dense blocks of hard resinous substance. The contraband is
located below deck in the area of the engine/fuel compartment
(observed large turning gears and large oval storage tanks
associated with a greasy/oily liquid).
As of 031345 Apr 90 the location of the vessel was approximately
18/35/OON 66/05/00W, North of Puerto Rico, vicinity of San Juan.
The off-load or transfer point is South of West Palm Beach and
North of Miami, vicinity of 26/09/OON 80/05/00W.
The contraband is heroin, located on the vessel in a dark,
confined area on the port side below the waterline, about one-
fourth of the vessels length back from the bow.
The current location (as of 1005 EST 4 Apr 90) is 25/48/OON
45/00/00 W. (1400 miles West of the Canary Islands)
The off-load point (projected to take place on 11 Apr between
0300 and 0400) will be 32/00/OON 65/18/OOW (about 10 mile WSW of
Bermuda)
