The shielded underground area in Area E did not seem. as
important today as it did in the previous session" My interest
in it appeared to be due to the shielding. The underground room
is long and narrow and has lots of pipes in it. The pipes are.
not connected to anything outside the shielded area but are self-
contained. The area gave me as strong AOL of "bomb shelter."
In area E there is a redundancy in the +unction of the long
bt.t.ildin they perform the same routine job. (AOLg water and
waste management)
The entire facility engages in projects that involve
manufacturing and assembly on a small scale and/or of specialty
military items which are components as opposed to entire weapon
systems" The manufacture involves precision machining.
An object which looks like a torpedo is machined here. It
is 15-10 feet long and is big and heavy. It is a silvery brassy
color with a. matte finish that is the result of a series very
fine grooves (like screw threads) that are Machined onto the
outside of the torpedo shaped object. These shallow, fine
grooves are very close to one another. See sketch page ii.
