1 . Describe the target site: The site i a structure. '=Portions of the
structure are made of old wood, other portions appear to be made of adobe or
stucco. The entire structure has a profusion of a garish mixture of muted
colors (dark browns, dark greens, dark peach, etc.) which gave the
impression of a Spanish ambience. The interior of the structure is
extremely crowded. It appeared to be virtually packed with plants which.are
in earthenware pots and which appear to be purposefully "dirty", as though
mud had been poured down their sides and left as part of the pot's design.
There is a general quietness to the site, with a definite smell of
fresh air and a fresh "dirt" smell. At places throughout the structure,
furniture was seen, as though I were in a.living- or dining room.
At one place within the structure, I found what appeared to be a
Christmas tree decorated only with dark red ribbons.
2. DESCRIBE THE ACTIVITY AT THE SITE: I found several people wandering
the through the structure looking at the plants, working their way between
and around the many plants which were sitting around everywhere. Many of
them were touching the plants and talking about them.
