Mission time is 1030 hours. #14: All right, #08, the :time is now 10:30. Your mission .jor today is to find Bruce German. I want you to describe his location, any other, hostages at this location, and the physical security of this location. I want you now to relax, concen- trate. Focus your attention on Bruce German. +02 #08: Comin' over here (mumbling). . . top floor. . . of what looks like the big "E" building. . . on the right. . . side, front. . . the first room wall by the first room. . . in that corridor, which apparently served as offices of some kind. . Got the impression this is a three-story building, and he's up on the third floor. +05 #08: I see him with a couple other people. . . pretty bi groom. . . Wish he would associate with the VIP officers. This is a recurring image of a tall man with grey hair and balding, probably in there with him. et a real quick impression of a (mumble). . . Eight to t ve, t t twelve, yeah ten, guards are more or less act' e in the rea. . . of that floor +10 #03: rere's a. . . recurring image of the, the lady with the veil, covering, in'thrat area right now. . . I think if you could follow her you could find out where, where the other two spots are where they've got the people. . . 'cause she seems to havl a. . . habit of visiting each place, almost on a daily basis d #08: Her image seems. to be dominating the scene. . . It's almost as if she had the function of keeping tabs on the guards and. their alertness. . . She reports this to some intermediary, some higher authority, I think. (mumbling) Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00788R002100290001-8 Approved For Release 2000/08/050 R002100290001-8 #14: I wan t you to focus your attention again on this building. Where is this building located? +15 #08: I can only give you a frame of reference, and that's if. . . (mumble) in a rectangular. . . a rectangle. This would be the biggest building in the upper center of the rectangle, next to that leg. And again, the other two groups, one would be to the lower left leg, and not quite to the bottom, and the other would be touching the bottom of the rectangle, and somewhat to the right. It comes up in red dots. . . There's a lot of space between these buildings. . . like fields, maybe it's like fields separating the top of the rectangle and the bottom of the rec- tangle, the treelines would kind of border on the edge, partic- ularly to the left it's heavier and the bottom. At the upper portion there's a small treeline, I think in front of the build- ing, light treeline to the right, and the real heavy treeline is to the left. #14: I have no further questions at this time. Is there anything else you feel you can add? #08: Okay, that. . . Part of entire city of Teheran fit, fits at rectangular would be slightly below center of that circle. That's all. #14: #14: Okay. Especially when three of us have black lungs. We're now ready for debrief? #08: Yeah, let me give you a, sketch #1. That's not quite accurate. Yeah, that's okay, it's just not pressing. #14: That one looks like it's kinda dry there. ##08: Okay. This is a corridor, and this is where I found him in the first room. I thought this had three floors, but I'm not sure, three stories. What's his name? Okay. #14: Would you s]oy it had more than one story? #08: Oh, yes, Yeah, at least two, but I wasn't sure whether it had three or not. But he was - top floor. Okay. Let me draw this while I'm - I'll put sketch #2. And what I, I'm trying to pinpoint things, and I, put in the rectangle form. And this building is around here, okay, put that building #1, okay. Okay, red dot here; I think there's another group here, it's to the bottom left of the tri-, of the rectangle but it doesn't touch the bottom, and I'll put that building #2, that's the second time that comes up. And there's a building here - I don't know why I keep wantin' to do,that - to the right bottom side of the rectangle, and I'll call that building #3. There's a heavy treeline here, there's a pretty heavy treeline here, there's a lighter treeline here. And there was a sort of a treeline here, light treeline here. And there were fields Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00788R002100290001-8 Approved For Release 2000/08/ 8R002100290001-8 #08: separating this. Okay? #08: Now, trying to pinpoint this one,' fry and tell me, ask me where they, where I had a feel like, kinds had the city something like this, in a huge circle, all right, and this being the center of the city. I'll just put a zero here. That rectangle would fit someplace around here, maybe a little bit lower. That's where that was. Something like'that. This just looked like a big circle, heavy populated, a lot of buildings. #14: Let's try #4. Or is that three? #14: Try number three. Uhl you mentioned you had a feeling of 23-25 hostages, now were they in one building? #08: In building #1. #14: Building #1. #08: Of sketch #2- #14: Okay. Uhl I'm also interested this, uh, this female with a veil. #08: Yeah, she looked, you know, like an old-biblical type. That may be overlay from TV where that female interpreter is always translating the hostages' positions or something. It's either her, I think it's her, but I'm not too sure. #08: And her role was to go around these various, these three points here. #14: Within the triangle - rectangle? #08: Sort of keeping tabs on, yeah, the rectangle, keeping tabs on the guard forces. I didn't see, there's no access, she has no direct access to the hostages, but she sure has a hell of a lot of to these, these guard personnel, and she wouldn't go away, that image stayed with me for some time, till I tried to get a feel for what the hell she was doing. #14: Okay, I have nothing further. #08: Okay. #14: End of session.
