REMOTE VIEWING .(RV) SESSION CD-80
1. .(S/NOFORN) This report documents a remote viewing session conducted in
compliance with a request from. SOD, j3, OJCS, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
The purpose of the session was to provide information relevant to the hostage
situation in Iran.
2. (S/NOFORN)_ The remote viewer's impressions of the, target are provided as
raw intelligence data and as such-bAve not been subjected to any intermediate
analysis, evaluation or collation. Interpretation and use of the information
provided .is the responsibility ofthe requestor.
3. (S/NOFORN) .The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document
Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (5), undated.
4. (S/NOFORN) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during
the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote viewer
reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target cuing
information provided the remote viewer.
5. (S/NOFORN) The remote viewer was asked to find John Graves and describe
his location. The viewerdescribed an L-shaped,- yellow, two-storey- building.
This building appeared to be rather isolated; on the outskirts of a city. The
viewer felt that there ? were 3-5 other US hostages at this location. He described
four. He also stated that there were two peopleat this location who were
responsible for physical security and that they worked in shifts.

#14: This will be a remote session for 10 July 1980; mission time
is 0830 hours.
PAUSE
.All right #46 the time is now 0830. Your mission for today
is to go to Iran and find John Graves. I want you to find him,
and identify his location. Relax now, focus your attention,
concentrate.
PAUSE
+03 #46: I..uh...persistent images...one of a sidewall, outside wall...
It's yellow, and it's uneven. That's..uh..like it was, it comes
out in relief and horizontally at intervals. It's very..uh..
yellowish, almost dirty white. There's a, a round window at
the top right next to the...or right below where the..uh..
roof intersects. It's an A roof. It looks more like a
We got the feel almost like a private doorway. This has
a, has a small wall in the front yard. It's not made to
hold anybody. It's just there for decorative purposes.
PAUSE
Okay. Now that's turning out to be a, it's a wing of a building,
an L of a building with two sections there right in close to
one another...but, still has the flavor of private dwelling.
PAUSE
+08 There are shrubs There are shrubs...right where the..uh..
those two portions of the building meet, and there seems to be
a porch of some kind, and there's a quick rapid picture of
another shrub. Kind of weird, because it's isolated. One
lousy shrub in the night portion of the building. I...feels
like a very, almost a very isolated area. A lot of ground...
(mumbling) no houses. This is a two-storey building, but it
looks like a one-storey building, so First, I got the
impression he was with 2 or 3 others, but now I get an
impression of a space, like an attic or something. There are
about 5.

#14: I want you to take a look at these other hostages. Describe
them. See if you can identify them.

+10 Got the picture of a thin faced, glasses..uh..partially..uh.
balding individual He's about 5 6, 5 7, slim build.
PAUSE
There's a..uh..unless it's himself a guy
with bushy eyebrows, very heavy beard much round in the
face....... Around the mid-forties.
PAUSE
There ibHa there is a ...tall guy, and a man,.uh..leLe
20s, early 30s, someplace around there...he's grown a ful
black beard. I don't know if he's 6 foot or better than 6.
6 1 or 6 2, someplace around there.
PAUSE
And, there's a short man. He's completely bald, I guess. 0)
Also with a beard. He's 5 4, 5 5, 5 6.

1 There are two guys responsible for the security. I think
I think they work in shifts. They are brought in by....
(mumbling) I think there's a 3d guy, but he's not......
not on the floor. He's kind of downstairs and on kind of a
rotation basis. I got an impression there would be a desire t .
move these guys around a little bit more. They can't because
. of the activities in the streets or something. Simply got mor
or less often as they want. Do you want anything else?

#14: Where is this location? What city is it near? What's the
nearest city?

+20 #46: It's outside the city..If you were looking at it from a
a grid square type thing Would be in the lower left hand
corner.

#46: Ummm,..I feel I'm supposed to say that, that this islethis
is now predominantthat they're getting 'em out of Iran.
Found 'em outside, outside the city area.
PAUSE
#14: I have no further questions. Is there anything else you
can add?

+25 #46: I get the very distinct impression that the...that the
main body, so to speak, is still within the principal areas,
and I got 3 dots, 3, 3 dots. The point is you get to
isolate a certain group so that it makes it impossible to
get 'em all together. That's so that you can't really
get 'em all even if you went after them. That's, that's
the idea that they, they're Using. I get the impression
like...uh...but, from an overview. Main body still is in
the principal building, except Now (mumbling) had a small
group that's isolated. The other (mumbling) the other body,
I think dispersed in groups of 3s, but in 3 locations.
PAUSE

#14 I have nothing else.
#46: Okay. Can you give me 3 minutes now?
#14: Sure. Take your time. I think we'll just go ahead and turn
? the tape over at this point. Seems we're running a little
low.
PAUSE
#14: We're now ready for debrief,
#46: Yeah. I, I'm going to give you this (mumbling) so to speak,
(mumbling) that just came in spurts. All right. And, what
I first grabbed a hold of was a yellow, this was a left side
wall. Now, I'll draw the building afterwards, but this was
predominant. It did have an A roof. I think those were tiles.
I'm not sure. Sort of a circular type window here. It looked
like a private home. I'll just draw this. And, what was
weird was this seemed to be something in relief here, and
this...had another one here,, and another one here. In other
words, it wasn't a perfect plain. I dorit know how to draw
that. This was yellow, almost dirty white and took off in
this direction. Then I found the other portion that went to
the right. These looked like columns in relief. They're

are about 3 or 4 inches in releif here. That was the first
thing that I got. Then I'll label the second one...general
outlay, and I think I've seen something like this before.
What it was...the one in number one...make that the top of the
roof there, was here, okay, something, something like that...
okay, and there would have been one right here. I know that's
a bad drawing, but that's the best I can do. And, there was
somewhat of an overhang here, and a porch underneath there.
Shrubberies here. Something like that. And, an entrance here.
And, there was this lousy little shrub here, that seemed out
of place for such a wide space. Which was the right wall.
When I picked him up, I think he was up here someplace in a
pretty wide room.

#46: Yeah. I'll put an X there for John. At first I had an
impression of about 3 and then it looked like about 5. Five
guys. Then. I described them like they were. I got the
impression this was a very isolated place. I'll just put it
here. And, there's an extensive yard?.uh..very desolate place,
and at the very bottom there's a slight incline going this way,
and was a very small type wall that wouldn't hold anybody.
It wasn't that high. It was about 3 or 4 foot high; it Was more
decorative than anything else, and it just ran this way here.
Okay. That's the general feeling. When you asked me where in
the hell it was, I told you if you were looking at a grid type
thing that we have been working on before, where the city
would be interspersing this area..,kind of thinned out this,
this area would have been here. That house. And, then this
is where I got the impression about the main body of the people
being dispersed into....that's just a picture something
like this. Three different areas. This house is way down her
Way out, way the hell out of the city. I think this is the
compound area. Rut, I'm not sure. I'll label that 4.

1. - -(S/NOFORN) The remote viewer has been exposed to open source news media
information as well as classified overhead imagery and numerous photographs
of hostage personnel. He knew he would be working against the hostage situation
in Iran.
2. (S/NOFORN) At the time of this session- the remote viewer was shown the
attached photograph, and was asked to find John Graves. He was asked to identify
Graves' location, identify any other US hostage personnel, and to describe
physical security at this location.
