SUMMARY ANALYSIS
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION .CD-15
1. (S) This report documents a remote viewing session :conducted in
.compliance with a request from SOD, 33, 03CS, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
The purpose of the .session was to provide information relevant to the
hostage situation in the U.S. Embassy compound in Teheran, Iran.
2. .(S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are provided as raw
intelligence data and as such have not been subjected to any intermediate .
analysis., evaluation or collation. Interpretation and use of?the information
provided is the responsibility of the requester.
'3. (5) The protocol used for this session is detailed. in the document,
Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (S),' undated.
4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions 'during the
remote viewing session. At TAB A aro drawings mode by the remote viewer
reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target cuing
information provided the remote viewer.
5.? (S) ? The remote viewer was asked to locate Bruce German, and describe
his surroundings. The viewer described a multi-story building with some
sort of balcony and-blue tile trim, .located in the northeast, sector of some
large city. The viewer felt that there were four hostages at this location,
but could not identify. them. ?

This will be a remote viewing session for 21 May 1980.
Mission time is 10:45.
PAUSE
All right #07 the time is now 1045. Your mission for
today is to find Bruce German. I bant you to identify
him, and identify his location.
PAUSE.
#07: I, I found him a moment ago. I've been trying to figure
out...look around and see where Was he located. Appeared
to be alone.
#14: Describe his surroundings.

A room....table and newspapers and books lying on table
wglasses removed...buildingnin the entryway has things
like military hats or emblems, colorful hanging on the
wall. Not sure that's military but, emblem symbolic ?
of various groups...just,layed on wall..... ..blue tile.
Vertical surface. Part of exterior building appearsblue
busy pattern, busy pattern. .Some, some kind of balcony.
About one floor above the ground. The roof.. .shallow
slope appears green, grass and shr
outside the building. Aware of something very tall and
tanned nearby. Appears masonry.. Tapers as height. incrtv.
...very tall. I thought, I: thoughtit .looked like I'm
looking down on a pyramid with the top blocked off, but
the height, the width, the. ratio was wrong. Appears
much taller, much taller than width.
PAUSE
Had a feeling building is on.........some kind
special complex. Like.... .like training, training school
there. Military training, officer training.............
There's discipline --(mumbling) -symbolism. Lot of, lot
of, lot of feeling of symbols to instill pride. That's
why I think it's......military training. Facility at one
time school like atmosphere -

position. I-looked for detail that someone might
recognize. It appears to be.e.feeling that it's weetern

standing around that felt were hostages., but when I

#14: Tell me about Bruce's physical and mental condition.
#07: Appears calm. Seems to be reading alot of material
that, that his guards have permitted him to have.
Appears to be books, magazines, and papers; papers
are very old. Trying to glean some information that
provide hope; but appears outwardly calm with confidence
that the problem will just slowly wear itself out. -
Seems in muchbetter mental attitude than last time I
saw him. Appears to feel no hostility towards those who
detain. him. Greatful for increased freedom and better
living conditions. Don't know if he's displeased;
?gratitude outwardly or appears to be secret feeling.

Does not show, does not show gratitude ?outwardly, but

I guess the first thing that I saw; I can't remember the
detail of it.....was rather intricately shaped. building.
It was two stories or more high... .rather fancy entryway
of some type. I can't remember the detail of it, but
above it was a ...some kind-of balceny......
and shallow angled tile raof. .4A enau.er on. o?aordo
I can't make out the shape of this building.. It was quite
an attractive building with some ...looked-like blue tile
on the aide of it...some kind, fancy pattern...?.
I can't draw it. I can't, I can't make it. out. There was
a wall in there that some kind of emblems or symbols of
some kind and color. Mostly about the same size, First I
thought it was military hate of different branches hanging
there; perhaps emblems from various units hanging on the
wall. I couldn't draw any of. them. . In fact, I don't think
I can draw anything that's worthwhile on this.
#14: Well, you described a room he was in.
1/07: It was just a vague, inclosed., space of a table thathe was
at with alot of papers and books on it.
I don't see that helping anything.

#14: Okay. One thing that I'm particularly interested in
at this time is.........
#07: .....the pyramidal shaped thing........
#14: You mentioned something nearby. I think your description
of it was....very tall, tanned, nearby, masonry, tapers
an height increases; very tali.
#07: It kind of reminded me of a distorted 3-mile island tower.
Those ratios.....the image is quite vague, but I could
feel the massiveness of it.. I was looking down on it,
and it was a considerably smaller .-..the altitude- in
cOmparison to the bottom. It reminded me somewhat of a
first pyramidal shape, then the base became somewhat
vague. I guess that the shape was something like that.
The edges could have been rounded. -I'm not. sure. -
But, this was considerably taller than the building I was

interested in, and I think this thing shape was to the
...uh...southeast or east of the building I was interested
in. It was very vague. I'm sorry. That's the best I
can do. :Is there anything else?

1. (5) The remote viewer has been exposed to open source news media
information as well as classified overhead imagery and numerous
? photographs of hostage personnel. He knew he would he working against
the hostage situation in Iran.
2. (S) At the time of this session the remote viewer was shown the
attached photograph and was asked to find Bruce German. He was asked to
identify German's location, _describe his physical and mental condition?
and to identify any other hostage personnel- at this same location.
3. (S) The remote viewer has been briefed on the current status (as of
30 April 1960) of the hostage situation and told that the whereabouts
of the hostages was not known.
