REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CCC-93
1. (S) This report documents a remote viewing session conducted in
compliance with a request from SOD, J3, OJCS, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
The purpose of the session was to provide information relevant to the
hostage situation in the U.S. Embassy compound in Teheran, Iran.
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are provided as raw
intelligence data and as such have not been subjected to any intermediate
analysis, evaluation or collation. Interpretation and use of the information
provided is the responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document,
Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (S), undated.
4. (s) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the
remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote viewer
reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target cuing
information provided the remote viewer.
5. (S) The remote viewer was asked to locate LTC David Roeder, and
describe his surroundings. The viewer described a single story, yellow-stucco
residential type building located within a spacious, walled area. He stated
that this location was in the city of Teheran and probably within 6 to 7
blocks of the US Embassy compound. The viewer also stated that there was a
structure, which resembled a stadium nearby. The viewer was aware of
4 hostages at this location; Roeder, Ahern, Holland and an unidentified
hostage. He also mentioned that there were 10 to 12 heavily armed Iranian
guards.

#14: This will be a remote viewing session for 2 May 19?30.
Mission time is 0900 hours.
All right #01, the time is now 0900. The mission for
today is to find lieutenant Colonel Roeder. I want you
to identify his location, and identify and describe any
other hostages at this same location. I want you to
relax; focus your attention on Colonel Roeder.
03 #01. /I see, see 3 hostages together. Roeder appears to be one
of the 3. There's 2, 2 other people with him. One of them
is Ahern. Another one is Holland. There's another one - 4
See 4. I can't, can't tell who the 4th one is.
+05 I get a some....impression of a fairly good-,sized room.
But, not a, not a modern room. I see stone walls with
baked tile. It's like a blue and white tile in a decorative
kipd of pattern. Stone floor. Very old rug on the floor.
It's like a, like a dining room in a house. Get a, get a
strong impression that this is still in the city of Teheran.
+07 It's like a house on a compound. It's got a large fence.
Large fence and gardens surrounding it. It's a very
,expensive home. There's..uh..some kind of wooden gates with
a..... no, not wood. They're iron gates. Its the fence
that's wood-wood and stone. The garden and grounds are
+10 / maybe 2 acres in sizes. It's a one-story home or building.
m left with the impression that it's in someway previously
connected with the, with the hostages in someway. Like,
maybe it's an old house that was rented prior to the Embassy
Glass. windows, high up. A ea.r to be under the eaves, and
the eaves of the roof.
Top of the entrance door is rounded. It's like a round
... ...............There's a large circular design type
opening or window in the front on the right. It has a

large, old-fashioned fireplace in the living room. Fills
almost the entire end of the room. The house is yellow
stone, almost like a stucco type stone ...............
Appears to be a great number of Iranians there too;
perhaps 10 or 12, and they're ....... they're all very well
armed. It's in an area of the city that's...uh...probably
within 6 or 7 blocks within the Embassy compound.
Just a minute. Now I'm.getting a little away from here.
There's a Land Rover type vehicle parked in front. One roa
one road goes in and out. Goes in a circle by the Trent aocP
Looks like gravel. Feel like I'm seeing the, seeing the
side of...appears to be a large stadium or something with
trees around the front. I don't know if'it's just across
the street or down the block, but it's there. Very close
to the stadium.
PAUSE
+10 'That's all I'm getting.
#14: Ok. I have no further questions. Is there anything else
you can add?

#01: Had a....very sure about the fact that he's with Ahern.
Yeah, Ahern is definitely with ........ there's .... I get an
impression of a very high wall on the left ...away like that.
And, I got a feeling like...... there's another stone wall.
across the front. This affect. Like this ..... and then
too, is these ...uh...like wooden doors .... this was a curve
..,curb like...this was a street. I kind of dropped
down into the street. These were very heavy wooden doors.
The iron gate type affect I was getting, I think were...uh..
was like a decorative iron. Almost like a filagree type
affect on the wood.....like a real heavy wroguth iron design.
.....on those wooden gates. That the road inside went up
iand there was this big flat like building with trees around
it. This kind of affect. Like a really private, reallyd
expensive home. Trees back along here..rother side of
this wall. In the front of this building looked....
had a big long flat roof...this sort of affect ...and all
across the top was these very high windows... Got an

impression of an old building on the inside but a modern
building on the outside. May be that it. has a very
traditional interior, but a very modern exterior. Main
entrance door was rounded door. This kind of affect.
Back over in here was a...... like 8 wooden structure going
off.
though. The city of Teheran ..... Within 8, 8 to 12 blocks
of the Embassy compound, and the interior of the room
Hip type roof with trees all around behind it. This type
of affair. This was...uh...like a yellow or gold stucco.
I got an impression that for an instant, ,I got an
impression of.....like a really well-manicured row of trees,
and that were really thick. Like this sort of thing in a
row. Behind them..-.some kind of scaffolding type like ts.
Like a ramp going down. Like a really large stadium of
some sort, and.....I felt like this was very close, very
close to this location. I felt like I was still in Teheran
hat I had was really strange. See if I could get this-,----
just right. It's like an alcove type thing with an arch
previously time by a...one of the hostage families. .I guess
a feeling for the fact that this was owned possibly the
doorway. It wasn't a door, really. It was like an arch
entrance. This being the roof ...that sort of thing, and
that this was a very large stone fireplace. This was like
a very large dining area...... table. It's a very bright roo
Uh...arid, that this was the room they were in.' I also had
that's about it.
Oh! There was like a...some kind of a decorative type type
design down the wall, like this. These were blue and
white tiles. This was a stone floor with a great big old
rug. I guess that's about, it. And, he is definitely with
Ahern, and I don't think they've left the city of Teheran.
I think that this particular group is in a traditional home.

heavily armed there. Maybe 12 Cranian~ards.

1. (5) The viewer has been exposed to open source news media information
as well as classified overhead imagery and numerous photos of hostage
personnel. He knew he would be working against the hostage situation in
Iran.
2. (S) At the time of the session the viewer was shown the attached
photographs. He was asked to find LTG David Roeder; identify his location;
and identify any other hostages at this same location.
3. (5) The remote viewer has been briefed on the current status of the
hostage situation and told that the whereabouts of the hostages was not
known.
