SUBJECT: Congressional Inquiry (U)
1. (U) DIA GRILL FLAME Action Officer, called at 0830 hrs,
8 July 1981, and informed me that DIA had received an inquiry from Congressman
Tom Hagedorn, House of Representatives. He believed that Congressman Hagedorn
was from Minnesota.
SG1J 2. (U) Congressman Hagedorn had received a letter from a constituent asking
for information tar using 6 psychics to gather information
SG1A 1 11 stated that he was putting together
a response which essentia y would say that DIA had no information/knowledge
concerning the topic and he wanted to know if I could shed any light on the
subject.
3. (S/NOFORN) I informed him that the figure 116" bothered me since that was
the exact number we sent for training at SRI. Also, we had done some work on
SG1A but not with 6 people. I asked him to contact
MAJ eefe, OACSI, for official Army guidance as I was not empowered to do so.
Further, I requested that he keep us informed of any actions taken concerning
this inquiry.
