SUBJECT: FY 82 DIA Funding at SRI

1. (U) At 1600 hours, 3 December 1981, I returned a call to
DIA COTR at SRI.
2. (FOUO) I stated that Dr. Uorona had notified him that in
accordance with direction/advice of DIA General Counsel,DIA was to cease
activity at SRI. I Inotified SRI personnel that effective at
COB today he was closing dawn the project. I Iwent on to explain
that since DIA's work at SRI is by contract this was probably the reason for
the stop.
3. (U) Information was relayed to COL Miller, LTC Tolliver and LTC Scheaffer
7 December (PM).
