GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
Atwater) We have been tasked by the DCSOPS, INSCOM to conduct
Watt ) a survey of INSCOM personnel concerning the subject
of parapsychology.... whether personnel feel it is
real, fake, or just a phenomena that is not clearly
understood.
I would like to keep this very informal. Do you have
any objections?
Because of know Soviet involvement in psychical research
and the fact that any U.S. involvement in this area
would, of necessity, be classified, I have been instruct-
ed to inform you that our discussion must be considered
to be classified at the SECRET NOFORN level. You are
not to discuss the subject matter of this interview with
anyone.
Before getting into the discussion, I would like you to
read the following article(s): . . . . Now,
1. What do you think of the story?
2. What do you think about psychic phenomena and
people associated with it?
3. Do you know anyone, including yourself, that might
have had an ESP experience? Can you tell me about it?
Optional) 4. Do you feel this is an aspect of society that is
not clearly defined and that research should continue
to clear up associated mysteries?
General 5. If used, should psychic power be limited to
Public) humanitarian needs or . . . . should the military be
involved?
Religious overtones.
NOTE: Recommend very informal close. Use the above
questions as guidelines to direct interview/
'burvey." Each interview should take approximately
30 minutes. Remind individual of SECRET NOFORN
classification.
