#66: This will be a CENTER LANE Interview for 0900 hours
7 December 1983. Relax and focus your attention
solely completely on the individual in the
photograph I've shown you. Focus on the evening
hours on 2 August 1983 the on target time of 1700
to 2200 and describe his location to me.
#01: ............ I got him ...... walking into a ..room
with a ..... tables and a corridor that's got doors
on either side. Corridor's is only 30 feet long.
The environment with much wood, polished wood.
..........It's a....has to do with the arrival and
it's important. Timing of the arrival is
important. He's got another man meeting him with
a.... dark coat, very bright eyes, brown eyes. I
keep wanting to turn this into a restaurant but
it's not. It's more like private place, like a
club. It's either a.. .private lounge in a hotel or
a. club,...fireplace, groupings of small tables, and
easy chairs, couches.
#66: Okay, tell me about this other man, describe this
other man to me.
#01: ..Not too big, 5"6' to 5"8',..dark brown hair, like
auburn color, brown eyes,...a little silver in the
hair, glasses. Glasses are a gray, gray color,...
dark overcoat, light suit, gray suit. ......
European cut to the clothes. The impression
there's some papers passed, but.... The a..target
person doesn't look at them ..... Somebody else
there, I'm trying to decipher it. Just a second.
#01: ........ Ah..he's a courier of some kind. ...Ah

a ...the on the street contractor, the guy who
coordinates between two or three parties. I get a

peripheral.
#66: Describe the person on the peripheral.
401: ..6 feet...... almost all gray or silver hair,
ah.... late forties early fifties, .... hazel eyes,
... very strong jaw, like a square jaw, wearing a
tan, a camel hair tan coat, but he's standing to
the side. ..........This guy, he seems to be, he
seems to be the kind of person who... transfers
things, picks up things and carries them somewhere
and and picks up other things and trades them
elsewhere.

#01: The Subject.
#66: Okay, the person in the photograph, I've shown you.
#01: Correct. Not only there's a concern about money
or something, and he's upset about much he's paid.

he's buying something. See what he's buying is

this meeting takes place.
#01: Ah..comfortable lounge, high ceilings, support
posts in the middle of the floor, fireplace, the
dominant color is yellow, the overstuffed (beauty)
chairs, couches, ah...chandelier type objects on
the wall with a...green, olive color shades .....
some kind of, there's rust in some way in the a
floor, the floor coloring, the color rust is
predominant. There's a ....... it's interesting,
just had a flash of the men's room, it's got a
cloth hand towels instead of paper. ..... feeling of
elegance, I guess, that causes ah--
#66: What did you say was rust color?
#01: Something in the floors is rust colored, color.
#66: Okay, to the main street outside this place.
#01: Um...glass entryway. It's like an upgraded front
to a...main building. See ah awnings, two green
awnings going out to the road. Road is minimum 4
lanes, packed very heavily with traffic, tall
buildings all the way around,.... except one corner
shows a...edge of a fenced park like area. And I'm
getting ah.ah...it may not be French, this place or
Paris, but got a distinct Parisian type flavor to
it, like in the name of things,.... colors, ah....
....... That's all I get.
#66: Okay. I have no further questions. I'd like you
to explore for a moment this situation, physical
situation, the meeting situation beyond the
confines of my questions.
#01: .... ..........There's ah...hell I
think I lost it, just a minute. ........... .It's
like he's coordinating some kind of a operation...
and he's selling that information on that operation
to a third party ..... at least he will be, I guess.
That's all I get, I can't translate that for some
reason.
