SUBJECT: CENTER LANE Interview Summary - CL-1022/8305/01 (U)
1. (S/CL-3/NOFORN)
On
140900 June 1983, source #01 was interviewed
by #66 in an attempt
to
obtain information relevant to a meeting
scheduled for 13, 14,
or
15 June 1983. The project 8305 sponsor had
provided a photograph
of
one the parties of the scheduled meeting (see
Incl 1).
2. (S/CL-3/NOFORN) For this interview the participants at the
meeting were unknown to source and were identified only as Person A in
the photograph and Person B. See report CL-1018/8305/01 and
CL-1020/8305/01 in reference to previously scheduled meetings of A and
B. Source was asked to describe the meeting between A and B on 13,
14, or 15 June 1983. Source was told that information related during
his interviews concerning previous meetings of A and B appeared to be
partially correct and of some value. No further information was
provided to source as the collection plan called for the use of this
information as "feedback" and cuing for possible subsequent interviews.
3. (U) A transcript of the interview was prepared (see Incl 2).
4. (U) A DA Form 341 (Agent Report) was prepared for the sponsor.
This report related the salient points of the interview (see Incl 3).

14 June 1983. Focus your attention now, focus on
the individual in the photograph I've shown you.
Focus on the area of interest and describe your
perceptions to me.
#01: Get (mumble)..stairs, (mumble) climb the stairs.
...going, going to room, room fastened to a
building. ....Building's residential.
..............It's a apartment the building. many
families...fairly modern... staircases there mostly
outside.... Four, four stories. .. ...Person A is
a..sitting at a...small table, coffee table.
....Person B is there and a..third man. ...The
interior of this place is..open, two stories open.
...... Just a minute. ...Just had an impression, I
was looking at pictures,..photos ........... See
this .... gray room with a...this tank is in this gray
room,..storage area of some kind. ...High
ceiling,..one of many, many things in the storage
room. .........See a... map with-discussions
about-certain place, date-passing through a area,
specific area,..discussing..going through this
area,..certain date. It's evidently a...some kind
of area they wouldn't normally go through.
..Trying to see where, it's...blue background, red
lines ...... The key word, interdiction comes to
mind,.... interdict the shipment. ........ Just some
a....some argumentative-point-about a...the use of
force. I don't understand it.

concern for.. .Person, Person B's
a...safety...after. ...Talking about... talking
about money and payments, more than one. ....Three
payments, money, through banks,..one prior, one

Keep getting an impression of a...third nationality
for some reason. ........... That's all I get.

....Alternate date and time, same place. Not for
meeting, that is for a,..that is for an
interdiction,...some kind of ripoff. ..I just see
B leaving. This is evidently a...A's place
or...place owned by A or possessed by A. ..... See a
....subplot... think it's action by B. Looks like
some form of sabotage, blast and fire. Don't know
if it's a.....smoke screen for the operation or
not. And he's blowing up some engine or setting
fire to some engines. .......Precise timing or
moment. ...... Can't tell if it's overlay or
not,...or some other action he's into. That's all I
get.

On .14 June 1983, Source CL-01 was interviewed concerning a
meeting scheduled for 13, 14 or 15 June 1983. Participants at
the, meeting were unknown to Source and were identified only as
Person A and Person B. Source was shown a photograph of
Person A. Source described the meeting substantially as
follows:
The meeting was in a room owned or controlled by Person
A. Inside, the room had an open appearance as though it were
two stories high. Source described the building as
residential, a place of many families, an apartment building,
fairly modern with outside staircases, and perhaps four
stories high.
Present at the meeting were Person A, Person B and another
unidentified individual. During the meeting Person A sat at a
small table or coffee table. One part of the discussion at
the meeting centered on a storage area which was described by
Source as a gray room with a high ceiling in which there was a
tank (not further identified) and many other things (not
further identified). There may-have been a photograph of this
storage area at the meeting. Another part of the discussion
centered on a map which Source described as having a "blue
background" and "red lines" (not further identified). The map
discussion involved a certain place (not further identified),
date (not further identified), and a passing through an area,
specific area, some kind of area they wouldn't normally go
through" (riot further identified). Source reported that at
this point in the discussion the key word "interdiction" was
immportant. Source reported an argumentative point concerning
the "use of force" (not further identified) to "interdict the
shipment" (not further identified). Source thought that the
word interdict might mean deliberate ambush. At another point
