1. (U) Reference: Letter, IMDSO, DELEW-I-L, 7 Nov 83,
subject: Letter Order No. 18
2. (S/CL-3/NOFORN) Our SRI-International contractor has
requested an extension of the completion dates on the five
Statements of Work in referenced Letter Order 18. That request
is attached as Inclosure 1.
3. (S/CL-3/NOFORN) I visited the contractor on 7 and 8
November 1984, and understand and accept the justification of
their request for an extension of the contract. The
SRI-International request to extend the completion date of the
contract will not have an adverse impact on the accomplishment
of the CENTER LANE mission, and in my opinion is in the best
interests of the U.S. Army and U.S. Government.
4. (U) Attached at Inclosure 2 is a suggested reply to the
SRI-International request.
