1. Upon arrival at the institute an orientation briefing was
given which included several suggestions that are designed to
optimize the likelihood of success.
a. Be well rested and as free as possible from any
"pressing" matters.
b. Try not to modify your daily normal routine.
c. To keep in mind that there is no special "induction"
procedure that will be required.
2. The five-day work schedule is outlined as follows:
DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY
US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY COMMAND
FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MARYLAND 20755
0930-1200 Orientation Session Session Session Session
Briefing
1400-1630 Session Rest Mid-Week Session De-
Period Assess- Briefing
ment
3. The protocol during the sessions varied only slightly from
protocol we have been using. There was no quiet period prior to
target time. This lack of quiet time did not seem to affect the
outcome of the sessions. Out of six sessions, five appeared
successful and one appeared to be a complete miss. In-depth analysis
and evaluation, by the Institute, of the six sessions will be forth-
coming.

4. The overall environment and atmosphere was one of informality
and relaxation, both on the job and off. It was nice to leave
all the petty hassels behind and concentrate solely on the
activity of viewing.
5. I do not feel that these sessions were of any value as a
training vehicle, but the exchange of information and new ideas,
along with the reenforcement of being able to perform in a
high level, controlled environment was a success and a valuable
experience.
