MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD 29 March 1982
SUBJECT: Visit of LTC Hartzel, INSCOM Staff Psychologist
1. LTC Hartzel requested that weekly group meetings be scheduled beginning
2 April 1982. Purpose of meetings is in response to suggestions made at an
earlier date to openly discuss mutual problems and resolve possible misunder-
standings. All personnel (Management, OPS and TNG) are requested to attend
to enhance unit esprit de corps.
2. LTC Hartzel requested that bi-weekly meetings with source personnel be
scheduled. (Done)
4. LTC Hartzel asked about the feasibility of consulting with "outside"
experts. He was told security was main problem.
5. LTC Hartzel asked about funding. Funding was explained;;to.him.
6. LTC Hartzel informed the.group that he was working with the undersigned
in preparation for Monroe training.
7. LTC Hartzel requested he be invited to attend sessions for purpose of
observation.
8. After LTC Hartzel left, the group felt disappointed. They felt as though
they had been serviced by a whore who cared little for them and had a schedule
to keep.
9. Where was LTC Jachim? (He did not know LTC Hartzel was in the area.)
