SUBJ: INSCOM GRILL FLAME on File Note and Return roval For Clearance Per Conversation Requested For Correction Prepare Reply irculate For Your Information See Me m ment Investigate Signature Coordination Justify Attached msg from INSCOM indicates they are voluntarily following the OSG guidance re the MICOM protocol reviewed last December. This is a particularly good move before a review of INSCOM's work takes place again. I feel (though INSCOM would probably take exception) that over the past six months, INSCOM has moved outside their original OSG-approved protocol. This is not to say that INSCOM has made wrong decisions -- quite the contrary. They are doing some excellent, essentially no-risk basic research (e.g., varying some of the environmental aspects of the session room, wiring the interviewer so that an outside. analyst can hear what is going on, etc).
