'The ESP Policy attached was reviewed s;.parately by eech Research Council member
.it our regular meeting on March 14, 1978. It was agreed that the policy should
be put into effect immediately.
1) We are committed to manage the ESP activity through the line and
with the aid of an appropriate ESP Program Oversight Committee.
2) Key line responsibility for the ESP Committee will be the direct
line Executive Director of the ESP research team.
X have selected the following ESP Committee:
Walter G. Chesnut, Chairman
Philip K. Whalen
Oswald G. Villard
Allen M. Peterson
Other n embers who are not SRI International eniployeas'will be recommended for my
approval All committee members must have adequate cl aras'res.
4) ESP research plans. and goals will be developed and 3rbmitted for usual
line approval and review by the Resew: ch Council, the Executive Commlttee,
and me, as appropriate.
5) Appropriate accounting for the ESP Committee and programs will be provided
to ensure perceived benefits are in concert with costs..
