in the lives of the hostages in Iran,"
1 May 1980, 0847 (Session 1); 6 May 1980, 0900 (Session 2)
Past efforts at timing per se have had a low yield of success,
although events described may be relatively correct.
Viewer carried out a number of scans on his own, beginning
30 April, with these two scans used as summaries with interviews,

S: The target area is Iran and the event that I am going to start a time
scan for is a major change in the hostage lives in Iran. I will first
attach to a group and will find their location and then I will attach
.to a second group and find their location and establish a spatial
baseline from which to do a temporal track. I will do a temporal track
of both ends of the spatial point or line. And whatever occurs along
that line will be an important event to the hostage people. Today is
the first of May.
R: Shall I call out at 20 second intervals.
S: Tap on the table at 1 minute intervals. What I need you to say is,
this is a descriptions of a person, male caucasian, late 30s, heavy.,
white shirt, white tee shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes. Now you just
have to say target person.
R: We are starting at 8:47 a.m., target person.
S: I have a room, the room has a window in it, it has a rug in it, a
table, a doorway that goes to a hall, an apartment building. If you
walk into the door into the room, the door swings to the left. You
look into the room, you see the table, there is a kitchen to the left
around a closet, a bedroom to the right. There is a man in a white
tee shirt sitting at the end of the table. There are 2 men sitting
on the floor. There is another man sitting at the table. There is a
woman standing in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room.
There is a uniformed guard standing at the door. There is a uniformed
guard standing across the room by the bedroom. There is a uniformed
guard at one end of the hallway. There is another guard half-way
down the hallway. There are 2 guards by the door on the street level..
They are are on the first story up. The building has an elevator.
Out of the window you can see a flag pole, and a building somewhat

S: obscured by trees, quite large. They are looking across the street,
.there are. cars running down the street. It is dark outside, you. can
see car lights and street lights. It is relatively quiet. I need now
to establish another point.
R: The time is 8:50.
S. There'is another hostage group on the embassy.grounds. They are. in
the motor pool area. It is a one-storied building. There is a fellow
there who is rather thin and about 23 years of age, he has a blue shirt
on, he has worn shoes, he looks pretty grubby, he has a beard, a
scraggly beard.. There is a group of about, his room has 3 men
standing, and 2 men sitting, there are 5 in this group also. There
is a guard on the roof and he is walking around. There are 2 guards
inside the room with these 5 hostages. There is an automobile outside
with 2 guards sitting in it. There is a guard that walks the .
perimeter of the building. There are guards that are associated with
the compound but are not guarding these particular prisoners, and
they are walking nearby. The second spatial point.
R: It is 8:52 a.m.
S: Now I have to establish a spatial base for a time scan. I have the
man with the beard and I have the man in the white tee shirt and I
am making them one, I have a line. I can start a time scan. Read me
the rate of scan, call it 20 seconds now per 1 day of elapsed time.
R: It is 8:54 mark, 20 s is one day of elapsed 'time. It is 8:55.
8:56, 20 s equals one day.
S: 'Noise in the street, it is just crowd noise, chanting. Some people
raising their hands. Thrown against the wall, this is the white
tee shirt.
R: The time rate is 20 s equals one day.
S: Noise in the street. Voices in the hall and men running down the hall.

S: Talking loudly, yelling, some type of news, threats with weapons.
This is just a sequence now, this is a note to stop on the time scan.
This is a sequence of events that happened when these people ran down
the hall. Threats with weapons on the hostages. The man with the
beard has a rifle butt pushed into the cheek of his face, pressed
against the wall.
R: Is the man with the tee shirt in the same place as the man with the
blue shirt?
S: No, those are the 2 ends on the time line, the spatial line that is
time tracked. One guy has the white shirt and the other guy has the
blue shirt and the beard. So I watch those 2 simultaneously at the end
of this line that separates them, so I'll debrief on both of them
at the same time. That is what has to be sorted out on the tape later
on.
R: How do we resume the time scan?
S: How far did we get in time, do you know?
R: We started at 8:56 and we ended at 8:59.
S: Was that exactly 56 to 59? 1 just want to know what day we are on now.
R: At the 59th minute you started this business in the hall. So it would
be less than 9 days, between 8 and 9 days.
S: 8 or 9 days from today which is I May. So on the 8th or 9th of May
something happens. Let's stop the time scan for right now. There is
more data I can get out of this now. We started through 59.
R: So it is about 10 days.
S: What I need to do is go back to whatever day this corresponds to
and now pick up the feeling that this person had when he was running
down the hall. They were spreading news of some type to these people.
I'll do that by re-reading what I have verbally and when I finished
reading it if you would say "feelings need a description". I'll write
that down and then debrief on that.

The feelings need a description.
My only feeling was that somebody died.
There was death.
R:
That is about 10 days from now.
S:
I don't want to go past this event in time and continue time scan
until this one is described very well. Since it is so close.
I'd like to end the session now and then go through the tape and find
out exactly which day I was on and then use that as the remote viewing
key for future remote viewing. I'll bring my photograph in of the
embassy, and review it. Then look at this day specifically.

H: Today is May 6, 1980, 9:00 a.m., with remote viewer 009 and Hal Puthoff
monitoring. This is the Iranian Embassy series.
5: I am going to summarize the remote.viewings for the past 7 days.*
Started April 30 and began a time scan series to scan ahead. in the
future to see if there was any significant events on the hostage lives.
I found that during the first 10 days of May there were 2 significant
events. The first event occurs on the 7th of. May and the 2nd event
occurs on the 10th of May.. Since that first remote viewing I have done
a number of others, 7-others, to determine what the significance of
these events were and if in fact these days were somehow important in
international scenes rather than just in their own minds. I determined
that on May 7 that it was an internal event, an event that. was something
that would not be publicized and a minor event. However, the 10th of
May was a major event, and it would make world press, in the news.
As part of the information I had to start with I used a Life magazine
that had 1-1/4 page photograph of the U.S. Embassy in Iran. It is a
view that looks, there is no orientation of north and south, but it is
a view that looks towards the front of the chancellery building with
the flag pole prominent in the front. All of the scans were done
initially to find the location of the hostages. In fact I found the
location of 5 groups. The first group was located in an apartment ~~oyw
building in the 2nd floor, across the street from the U.S. Embassy.
From that apartment you can see the flag pole in front of the chancellery
building. Another group is located in the chancellery building O

Another group is located in the ambassador's residence.- Another group

is located in the motor pool. And another group is located in another
apartment building that is off the photograph that I have, it can't be

WkON~T,
H: Do you have them all in the city of Tehran, though?
S: The 5 groups are in the city of Tehran;' And there are .approximately
4 to 6 people in each group, nominal five. The group in the apartment
building across the street that has the view of the flag pole has
one woman, and four men. The group that is in the motor pool area
has four men. The group that is in the chancellery building has

six men. The group that is in the apartment. building that can't be
seen in my photograph has five men. So that is about half of the
hostages that I found in the central area there. Now the events.
On the 7th of May 1980. Before I do that, there were 2 hostages that
I followed in these time scans. The first hostage was wearing a
light colored or white shirt and his location was in the apartment
building that had the view of the flag pole./ He was slightly over-
weight, he had a slight beer-belly that hung over his pants slightly.
He had short hair, it was thinning, slightly grey, it was thinning on
the top, and he was sullen, that was his mood. The other hostage that
UJ6LDW~t
I have is located in the motor pool. He is wearing a blue-colored shirt,
has a fairly lanky build, and he has.a beard. I refer to the
hostage in the white-colored shirt as hostage A, and the hostage in
the blue colored shirt as hostage B. On the 7th of May 1980, hostage
A was thrown against the wall, end of event. And no subsequent events
to that. On the 10th of May I have a number of events, all centering
around the U.S. Embassy area. There is the general feeling that there
y as513'-"
are threats on the hostages. Hostage B has a rifle butt pressed into
his face and he is pushed against the wall.' There is comotion in the
street. There is smoke and fire visible from the window where hostage A
is being held. There are captors running in the halls of the apartment
building in which hostage A is located, bringing news about an event.
There is a feeling that the event concerns (the word feeling is my feeling)

S: There is a feeling that the event concerns someone's death. That was
the first scan. On subsequent scans the details began to,comeout.
There were busses in the streets and they were not running parallel
to the street they were slightly disarrayed in the street. There are
a lot of people running in the streets. There was a feeling of a cave,
a tunnel or a cave, and there were a lot of bodies that were around,
the bodies were dead. There was a lot of shouting, a lot of noise,
general chaos and a lot of commotion in the streets. You.can hear the
sounds of popping. And that was all I had for the 10th of May.
I then did a scan for the 11th of May to see what was happening that
day. On the 11th of May I had people in the chancellery building,
a small group of people, but I did get the impression that they were
hostages.
H: Did or did not?
S: Did not. They were not hostages. The football field that is behind
the chancellery building had a helicopter on it. Generally things
were much more quiet. People were walking around in the area, but
there was less commotion and more determination. Things were more
determined, and I wasn't able to get much more detail on that day than
the day before. It was pretty well biased by then after a week of work.
So that is the sequence of events. The first event on the 7th of May
which was just a hostage being thrown against the wall for a reason
which I didn't perceive. But on the 10th of May I had many many more
events and a lot more commotion and smoke and fire and shouting, running,
people grabbing weapons, tools, a tunnel, and bodies.
H: Can you tell who the bodies were?
S: Some of the bodies had green clothes on, light green clothes. That
was the predominant color, green colored clothing. My impression was
that I saw these bodies just sort of strewn around and they had green
colored clothes on and then I had the impression that there were more

S: other places that I didn't see, that was the input for that data.
What I would like to do is to continue on this. 1 have been doing it
without the benefit of questions which takes longer to do. It takes
days instead of minutes. I can easily access that day if you want to
walk me around and I will describe what I can in addition to what I have.
H: On 10 May an event may occur that should be visible.
S: After this you can key to that sentence by saying event and I will
just write that word down.
H: Event.
S I have a tall building. (Drawing, p. 1)
H: Event.
S: I have people lying down. (Drawing, p. 2)
H: Event. 2
S: I have people standing up, they are line up./kglPi.'s Ys in a building
where there is a window to the left. They are lined up against the wall
and one of these people is the fellow with the white shirt, which is
hostage A. He is lined up with the other members of his group, against
standing over here, and this fellow is looking out the window. And the j
fellow standing behind him has a weapon that is held on these people
lined up against the wall.
H : Event.
S: I hear rapid popping and it is a fairly nice day and the sky is a nice
blue, it is clear, there are a few puffy clouds, a very very slight
breeze. I hear shouting. The commotion seems, if you are looking out
the window of the apartment where hostage A is located, it seems to be
to the left (and as opposed to across the street, it is not across the
street, it is to the left and down the street), because one of these
captors in the apartment is looking out the window and he is turned to

S: the left and he is looking down the street. There are seven captors
in the apartment. There are three in the hall and one on the stairs,
three down in front in the entrance area and there is one in the street
but you wouldn't know he was a captor by his looks, by his dress.
He is standing there like a passerby but he is in fact a front-man
out on the street, and that u4'\ s So what ever that adds up to that
is the total-number of captors with that group'6f people. There is no-
one on the rooftop of that building, just on that one floor and the
hall. It is like they have taken over that floor.
H: Event.
S: The busses* I don't know what is interesting about these busses, but
they are busses that are on the street and there are a lot of them.
They are parked like tour busses which pull up all behind each other
along the curb. Except the first one pulled up against the curb and
the 2nd is in the process of pulling up, but the others are not pulling
up, they are sort of like disarrayed, nonparallel in the street, at
oblique angles to the street. So a plan view would show busses that
are at angles to each other, it is not like they are passing each other,
they are stationary. I can hear this popping noise. Then I hear
shouting and then someone runs into the apartment building and runs
up the stairs and down the hail and into this room and is shouting at
the people. Then there is an exchange of conversation and this fellow
goes to the window and looks out the window and he is looking down the
street and he sees smoke and he sees fire, but he sees more smoke than
he sees fire. Then you have these noises, more shouting, people
scurYing about and a lot of commotion. While this is happening, while
this fellow is looking out the windows the other captors get the
hostages and line them up against the wall, with their faces to the
wall and their backs to the room.

S: There is a one-storied structure, there is a car parked next to this
structure, it is a station wagon. There are people that are nearby
this station wagon, crow shed down. The general feeling is of general
confusion. It seems 'that there is one spoken rumor that came to these
people in the apartment, and that was something that has put.them on
their guard and they put these hostages against the wall. But there
are other things going on and these people are just watching, they are
not doing anything they are just watching. There is something taking
place that is across the street and to the left, in that direction.
I think that is all I am going to get on the word event.
H: I would like to consider moving earlier, 'there must have been a first
point that triggered the event, I wonder if we could use the word point.
What is the first point that triggered this event?
S: People emerge from an underground conduit, it mate the sewers, but
an underground conduit. They came up near the motor pool area. I
should mention that the sky is blue and there are puffy clouds and it
is a nice day, but it is dusk, or daybreak, dawn. But the sun is not
up, just a nice sky glow. Because when they come up there are no
shadows. (Drawing, p. 4)
H: Should we do some more first points or do you think that covers it?
S: I think that covers it. Do you want to go back before that?
H: Let's target on hostage A on May 11. I'll say A on the 11th.
**
S: His body is bent, like he could be sitting. He is not standing up
straight and he is not prone lying down straight. He is bent. He
could be kneeling like that or he could be sitting up, but this position.
Maybe I should try to describe his surroundings, He is bound, he is
bound around his arms and around his chest and he is bound across his
legs, down near his ankles. He is being carried, that is why he is
in this position. He is being carried underneath the arms and he

He is outside. Nearby is a truck that has a metal or a frame that
is covered with canvas. There are a few people in the truck, it is
a big truck, and there are perhaps 8 people there. He is in the cargo
area, there are 2 people in the front. We can do a time scan on the
truck and see where it goes. All you have to say is spatially track
the truck.
II: Spatially track the truck. (Drawing, p. 7) I'i la
S: It drives out of the city and drives into the surrounding countryside
into a rocky area that has one storey buildings. Several one-storey
buildings with flat top roofs that have walls on the tops. They are
on top of a hill and there are mountains in the background, but the
road rises up this hill and these one-storey buildings are alongside
the road. And there are a lot of them dotted over, I had a good view
of that hill. Some are down the side of the road and some are up the
side of the road and this is its destination. He is being moved here.
It is very rocky, there are no trees around or very very few, just
scrub trees, it is very dry and arid and.the people have things
across their faces. All the people I see have things across their
faces. (Drawing, p. 8)
H: Can you describe who came in the truck?

that were in the apartment, are in the truck. In addition there are

and they are blindfolded and they are gagged and they are bound. It
is a very very bumpy ride, they are just being thrown all over. The
truck is going through pot-holes. There is silence. There are about
19 or 20 captors up here and there are 8 hostages in this truck and.
there are 5 other hostages here, or 6. So there are abouti15,hostages

off the road. But they are on the same side of the road, they are on
the uphill side of the road. You can see the city. from here.
H: Tehran?
S: Yes.
H: How about on May 11th we look at that helicopter on the football field?
Helicopter on the 11th. (Drawing, p. 9)
S: That is the aspect of that helicopter, I don't know what type that is
(this is on drawing page 9). It is not a large helicopter, it carries
about a dozen people. It is an army helicopter, it seems to be Iranian
army. There is a fairly high ranking person that came in the helicopter.
A military person. That person went to the ambassador's residence.
H: Do you know what nationality he was?
S: Iranian. It is a small group and they are walking around the
embassy compound and then they are driving in a car. They are driving
in a car from the football field to the ambassador's residence and
then they drive to the chancellery building and then they walk from
the chancellery building to the motor pool.
H: This may be abstract, but how about targeting on the word purpose.
This is still on the 11th and has to do with the helicopter and man
you are describing. Purpose?
S: The first impression was one of sabers, the type you would wear on your
belt in a dress parade.* The feeling of walking around was one of

S: dignity, like you are in a dress parade, but he is not in a dress parade.
He is walking.around with a sword, the feeling is--what is the word--
the words like it are it is a show, it is an honor, it is a duty but
an honor, he is on tour, he is reviewing the situation, those are the
right words but there is one that captures this exact feeling. There
is no pressure on him to do anything at this moment other than to
review the situation, that is was he is. doing. He is walking around
with this attitude of great dignity and pride and he is reviewing the
situation with that attitude. So he is looking around and he is on a
general's tour, and he is assuming that stature. As if it was a dress
parade but it is more serious than that, he is just looking around and
noting things and his people are behind him taking notes and he is just
directing traffic with a small something that is about that long and
he has it in his hand, it is a couple of feet long, like a wand or
baton. It is an inspection, review the situation and inspect it.
We could try to find the other hostages.
H: Do you want to call these collectively hostage group?
5: Group one.
H: Then we could trigger on hostage group two.
5: Hostage group two has one of the blacks in it. There was a woman in
the ambassador's residence and this fellow, let me use him as the key
to find them. He is fairly thin and he has a mustache and a scrubby
beard and he is with 4 other men. They are located.
H: I can give you the trigger word location. Hostage Group 2, location.
S: They are located in a room that has a high ceiling but it is narrow.
And there are pipes nearby. The walls are concrete and they are below
ground in a basement. There is water on the floor and there is a drone
in the background. A machinery drone in the background. I can locate
them relative to the embassy. All I need are the words, spatial track.

S: ? I'll use the flag pole in Iran as one point, and I'll use him as the
second point, and then I'll just need the words spatial track.
H: Spatial track.
S: He is in the city of Tehran about 2.2 kilometers.distance from the
flag pole.* He is in a building that is a power plant, that type of
function, it generates power. It is a government building, in their
sense of the term government building, It is fenced and has a large
open area around the building. Then there are these uprights with
grid line power coming off of it. He is in the basement of that
building. There are other people there too. That is 5 more.
H: So that means we have hostage group 1 is in this outer city and they
are the ones that used to be in the apartment. So this is hostage
group 2. Is this a new location for them?
S: What day did we do this on, we didn't pick a day.
H: I am assuming this is all post 10th because that is the track we had
gotten on the others. On the 11th, hostage group 2, location.
S: Yes, I get the grids, I get the power-line grids. This may not be the
actual generating plant, it may be a substation. But there is this
power-line grid with the upright poles and.you can hear this hum,
and it is a concrete building.
H: You mentioned a woman in the ambassador's residence. But she is not
part of these groups or is she?
S: No.
H: Do you want to have a hostage group 3 associated with her?
S: She was in the ambassador's residence, but she is not there on the 11th.
I don't see any hostages on the embassy grounds on the 11th. She was
one of the 30 people on the grounds before the 10th. But I don't see
any hostages there on the 11th.
H: Do you want to have a hostage group 3 that includes her? Hostage
group 3, location.

S: I don't find her.
H: Location.
S: Nothing.
H: Location.
S: No. I don't find her.
H: Shall we define a hostage group 4?
S: I should be specific, I mean I don't find her on the embassy grounds.
She was not in the chancellery building, she was not in the ambassador's
residence and I didn't pick up anything else.
H: Maybe you should try a few more locations. Location
S: I can describe the room that she was in, but she is not there now.
H: There could be a couple of reasons, if we want to be analytical about it.
Maybe she is not a hostage anymore, or maybe something has happened
to her. Let's target on her again and use the word feeling. Feeling.
S: She is thinking about, her mind is almost blank, dazed.* She is dazed,
shocked. Things are happening to her and she is being moved around
and she is not fully conscious of it, conscious of all that is happening.
H: That could be why she is hard to trigger on, mentally she may be scattered.
S: There is a consciousness there but it is shocked. I have her lying down.
And there is white, a sheet is covering her. She has been shot. That
is her state of shocked mind and dazed, and not fully conscious. It
would be nice to know where she was.
H: We can try location of her. Location.
S: I have light coming in through a window* It is very quiet. There is
an upright stand next to her with one of these bottles, plasma stands
or whatever they are called, IV. It is not light coming through a window.
There are no windows, they are recessed lights in the ceiling, but
there are no windows. But the light is coming down in all directions.
as if there were big windows. It is extremely quiet. It is a fairly
small room. What is peculiar about these white sheets is that they

stretched like this, it is very very prim, and crisp, and proper.
The corners on the ends of the bed are folded back under and tucked
under. They are. folded under and 'then there is a wedge that comes
down at. an angle. The bed looks like there is no one in it, but there
is. There is Just this. little bump. I can find her relative to the embassy.
H: Spatial track.
S: 800 km from Tehran, on a ship. I see a land/water interface: as I go
from here to the point where she is. I was over sand, land/water
interface, ship. I see the ship coming up, into the ship, slightly
aft, right into the ship where she was. I wonder if that means they
are going to try again.
H: There is an interpretation I have that would fit, but I don't want to
give any analysis to it, Do you want to try for more?
S: There is certainly enough here that when Saturday rolls around, we
will know. Why don't we stop, and wait for feedback.
