(S) This report provides documentation of a remote viewing session conducted for training purposes to enhance a remote viewer's demonstrated ability. 2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions during this session contained several good correlations to the randomly selected target. Throughout the session, the viewer was convinced that SG1A he was located somewhere along the coast of China. The actual interesting impression that the viewer had was one of darkness. He mentioned several times that it was very dark and he was having trouble "seeing" things. At the time this session had begun, it was 8:30 PM in the area of the target location. This viewer remained in a deep state of relaxation during the entire session. Ambient room noise is often a problem for this viewer. However, it did not seem to bother him during this session. 3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document, Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (S), undated. 4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the viewer reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is a description and map of the target location. SG1A #7: #47.5, the time now is 1130. Its time for you to relax and view a point on the earth designated by the coordinates, map coordinates that I'm going to give you in just a moment. After you have viewed this area, I want you to describe what you see. These are the coordinates: Relax and view this area and tell me what you see. FOUR MINUTE PAUSE +04 #7: Do you see the target #47.5? PAUSE #47.5: Right now, I'm. . I'm looking at the Great Wall of China. China must have something to do with the target. PAUSE #7: Are you above the wall? #47.5: I've seen it from several different views. One from below. One standing on the wall; the top of the wall and another from above. Why don't you read those coordinates again and periodically throughout the session just to see what pops into my mind when you read them. Approved For Release 2000/08/0 A- 96-00788R000901080001-4 l Approved For Release 2000/08UISI)LRDP96-00788R000901080001-4 SG1A #7: All right. Would you like to hold the card with the coordinates written on it? #47.5: Not right now. PAUSE Do you have a feel for the time of day? PAUSE SG1A #47.5: No. Again, I get a feeling for China. In fact, I just saw the whole country from an aerial perspective again. #7: Could you describe what you see? I know you say you are in China. Could you tell me what you see? #47.5; I see the entire coast line of China. From the northern tip to the southern tip and, of course, parts of Russia and Mongolia are in there. But I definitely saw the coast line of China. #7: I believe you're too high, #47.5 would you try going down to about five miles above the surface and tell me what you see. #47.5: Its very dark. I wonder if the sun is shining at it or not. It may be night or something. I'm not. . . #7: You can see in spite of the dark. The darkness will give you no problem. Can you go to a lower altitude and get a better look? Approved For Release 2000/0CIREDP96-00788R000901080001-4 Approved For Release 2000/0Wti l -PDP96-00788R000901080001-4 #47.5: Yeah. I seem to be . . on it appears to be ground level. I had a picture of a . . coast and I was standing on top of a very, very high cliff. Looked like a coast line. By very high I mean, goodness, hundreds of feet, 500 feet, 600 feet, 1,000 feet - I'm not sure. Very, very great height. Which absolutely has no relationship to the W11 of China. I still get the feeling of China. #7: And you're on a coast line with high cliffs. Is that correct? #47.5: Right. #47.5: If I'm not in China, I'm somewhere close to China. #7: Can you turn around and tell me what is behind you? #47.5: Its interesting, I . . when I turned around and looked, I saw what appeared to me. . to be some type of rocket blasting off. It reminded me of, you know how an SA-2 takes off in the desert, a big blast around it and then you see a streak going up. The target may be related to some type of SAM Site. Some type of rocket (not audible). And I was still on the coast. Could be coastal defense. #7: Can you describe the terrain other than the cliffs and the coast in more detail? You're at terrain level now, I believe. Could you go up 500 feet and take a look around? #47.5: Its very dark, I . . the only think I can make out is the coast line. However, I'll keep trying. #7: Just relax. You can see through the darkness. Do you have a feel for that? #47.5: From the image I got, it couldn't have been too far. No more than a few miles. PAUSE #7: Are there any other man made structures around? PAUSE +19 #47.5: I don't get the impression of any. I did have an impression a while back of being inside a huge cavern. But the ceiling is as big as a cathedral. There may be man made structures around but they're hidden. #7: Do you have a feel for how they are hidden? An awareness. Are they hidden in vegetation, underground, or are they made to look like something else? PAUSE #47.5: I get a feel for underground. Caves, caverns. PAUSE Well, one thing that sticks in my mind, when I got a view of all of China is a peninsula sticking out in the south. For some reason that sticks in my mind. Again, which has nothing to do with the Great Wall of China which is up in the north. #7: Are the coordinates at the Great Wall of China Approved For Release 2000/08/07 4 788R000901080001-4 Approved For Release 2000 DP96-00788R000901080001-4 or on the coast?, #47.5: I don't think so, I think they're on the coast. I think perhaps standing on the wall of China may have cued me to a general location. General area. #7: Is there a river or stream near the point of the coast that you are viewing? Is there anything else that's peculiar about the area other than the cliffs and the coast and the missile site? +23 #47.5: I have the feeling that I'm located somewhere south of a large city and a strategic military area. #7: Do you have a feel of whether the city is inland or on the coast? #47.5: The city's on the coast along a large river that empties into the ocean. PAUSE #7: Can you see the city with clarity? #47.5: No. And I'd hate to try. I think I'd get too much analytical overlay. #7: Does it feel like an industrial complex? PAUSE #47.5: I don't know. Its hard to say. #7: Would you like to take one more look at the area along the cliffs and then try to draw some of these images? #47.5: Yes. #7: Take another look at it. PAUSE #7: Would you like more light? Yeah, a little more would do. I'll try to get both feet back All right, then. Meanwhile, on the ground. My first impression were three views of this wall and it reminded me of the Wall of China. How do I draw this? #7: It looks as though you're standing. . . #47.5: Right on it. And looking down, there was a square tower here of some sort and beyond you could see the Wall dipped and it went up kind of over a hill off in the distance. Does that make any sense? #7: Very good. That's very good. #47.5: We'll label that "A". PAUSE Another view I saw was standing alongside of it. And again, it just kind of meandered off into the distance. And it had that dragon tooth effect on it. #7: These twoers are planned. Is that label "B"? #47.5: That's "B". "C" was similar to "A" only of an aerial perspective. I'll have to put that down. it was from more I don't even think #7: Here we have the wall and after that I remember you started seeing the coast of China. And it came out here like a belly and there seemed to be a peninsula here and then it went back up like this somewhere. #7: You mentioned Russia I believe at that time. #47.5: Yeah. Well that's just, I think that's just analytical. Mongolia would . . . #7: Um hm. All the way up. #47.5: What's that up there the Gobi Desert? There's a desert area up here. Well, we'll put Mongolia up here. #7: Are you analyzing? Are you drawing from memory? Or are you remembering what you saw? #47.5: Well, this is just trying to put things into perspective. This is China, this is the coast line, this is a peninsula which seemed to stick in my mind and there appeared to be some islands down here. #7: Um hm. #47.5: Even though this peninsula stuck in mind, I had a feeling that the city with this river seemed to be flowing west. But this city appeared to be a seaport protected in this dip here on the coast line. #47.5: City. River. I felt as though I was somewhere down here. Yeah. "X" marks the spot where I was at "C". And at one time - this is Page 2 - I was stand- ing on the edge of the coast. . and I had these two receding shapes. I was here. . and it was a long way down to the bottom here which was rocky. This, of course, is the ocean here. #7: And this is the cliff. #47.5: These are the two cliffs. #7: Um hm. #47.5: And, of course, this went out of sight. I'm trying to get a feel for the . . I'll just put a horizon on here. #7: Um hm. #47.5: These are high cliffs. Anywhere from 500 to 1,000 feet high. Just almost terrifying of looking down if one was afraid of heights. #7: Would this be labeled "C"? #47.5: Okay. I guess we can do that, Page 2, "D". #7: Okay. #47.5: When I turned around and looked the other way, I didn't see any features or anything. What I saw was what appeared . . I had a feeling that something had just exploded and was streaking away. As in a missile. Here's the blast; I had that several times. And towards the end I almost thought I saw a nuclear blast cause I was up above looking down and you could see the shock waves rippling or it could have been the smoke or dust or whatever. I don't know. And the way it took off reminded me, at the angle and the trojectory, was one of the SAM missiles. #7: Um hm. #47.5: If I had to put it all in perspective from an aerial view. . . City. Ports and harbors. Military, Naval. I felt that I was somewhere down here and I'll just make some cliffs along here. And as I was standing and turned around, I would place the impression of the missile I had right there. I also had a feeling for somewhere in this area caves, or caverns. Somewhere in these cliffs or somewhere along this coast line. 8 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 :4 - 88R000901080001-4 Approved For Release 200 IVEMFRDP96-00788ROO0901080001-4 #7: That looks very clear, #47.5. #47.5: But of course, the China Wall is way up here. #7: Um hm. #47.5: What else did I have? PAUSE #7: You covered most of the predominant features you saw. Those are the predominant features you saw. #47.5: Okay. It might be interesting to know that at one time when I was standing here looking out - the cliffs, I spotted a patrol boat out here. I suppose it would help if I wrote it right side up, but the heck with it. And the patrol boat was heading North, this way is North. I had a feeling that the peninsula or whatever it is, in relation, I don't. . if its exact. . . #7: Its relative psoition. #47.5: Yeah, but its relative position is down here somewhere. #7: Um hm. #47.5: Okay. I had a feeling that Japan or some other islands in relevance to everything is down here. Well, maybe that's even, what is it? Taiwan or whatever. I'll mark out. . . #7: Don't analyze, just draw what you saw. #47.5: Yeah. I'll just say an island. #7: Is that about it? And as far as my confidence level, I don't know, I feel pretty, pretty confident with the images and impressions and feelings that I get. I have a definite feeling that its somewhere in China anyhow. #7: Well, you were very, very relaxed. #47.5: And I . . was there any noise out there, I hadn't even noticed it. #7: I wasn't aware of any.
