#01:
This will be a pre-session briefing to the remote viewer.
At this time I provide you with a sealed envelope.
Your target is designated by this sealed envelope, which
contains the coordinates to the target. Your task will be
to describe the target area designated by the sealed
envelope to me. In the present time window. As your
description develops, I will be given further guidance
by the control analyst during the session. We will then
explore various portions of the target in order that we
may gain the intelligence necessary. Basically this
problem involves exploring an area of growing importance
about which the intelligence community has little infor-
mation. We hope to add to this information and stimulate
other appropriate collection systems towards this target
area. Do you have any questions pertaining to this morn-
ings target?
No.
All right, you now have 25 minutes to prepare youself for
this mornings session.
Relax now and concentrate on the target designated for you
in the sealed envelope I have given you. Focus now in
present time on the target designated in the sealed envel-
ope I have given you. Relax now?relax, concentrate...
and describe the target to me
Just a minute I feel like, uh...feeling of
buildings...buildings as of a city. One white building
in particular. .rounded corners
See a box, elongated box like object.... It's like, uh,
it's wrapped in shiny bands of metal
Your relative position of observation as you describe this
to me?
My moving...moving around the area.

#66: Distance to the city from the target?....
#01: Ten kilometers,. City apparently is, uh, ten kilometers
west. .target area,.
#66: From above describe the target area. From above....
#01: A main thoroughfare road.. Very green valleys, clear of
trees... Low hills due west. Have one looks like a...
softball shaped building. It's like a ball with tubes
comin' out of it, pipes. There's, uh, two flat tank struc-
+07 tures to the side. An octagon of wire..fencing of some
kind... Doesn't seem to be anything of interest catching
my eye.
#66: Okay. Describe the climate to me....
#01: Hot humid.
#66: What is it that makes you say hot and humid?
#01: Get a..an overall feeling of, uh, sponginess. There's a
mixture of tropical forest and swamp..jungle..amazon like
quality for some reason.
#66: Okay, before you stated that some of the valleys were clear.
Uh, do I understand that this area has a great deal of
foliage?
#01: Uh.... To the edge of the valleys, that's correct.
#66: And describe the relative location of the target...
+09 #01: Just a minute.
PAUSE
The target would appear to be, uh, in the deepest portion
+10 of the "V" of the valley...central most valley...clearing,
clear area...
+11
#66: Okay. The buildings now that you describe at the target
here, this target area that you've described. You started
out by saying I see a number of buildings, then you related
certain shapes to me. Describe the number of buildings at
the target site.
PAUSE
#01: The eoerdinates: are for a cluster of less than five
buildings. Surrounding area is possibly 20..,.
#66: Focus on the target designate now, and describe these
buildings to me.

#01: I had a...see a building, looks like large square with
ends coming out of each end...two. Looks like a telescope
from both ends. Fairly'large, possibly three stories.
Flat roof.. Some form of push-out glass windows. There's
a building, front right to that. Looks like a pillow...
Double diagonals running each direction down the corners..
corner to corner. Doesn't appear to have windows...
Pair of rectangles side by side, approximately two stories.
They don't appear to have windows either.
I get a round object with pipes...slightly smaller than
building size...
+15 #66: Describe the present activity at the target site.
#01: Looks like activity's normal.
#66: Describe normal activity.,
#01: Don't get any answers, I just get normal. People moving
around,
#66: Describe the inside of the big white building...
#01: A lotto bright lights, open area... Some kind of, uh,
press rollers,-or, uh, machines for pressing metal...
aluminum. Sections of metal, look like polished aluminum.
#66: What is it you perceive that makes you say machines to press
aluminum?
#01: Big, bulky machines.
#66: Go on.
#01: Different forms or angular sections under the machines
+17 going up and down and they're..rolling across sheets, like,
uh, spun metal..grain in the middle goes in circles. It's
polished... It's polished, it's shiny and..it's, uh, puts
a design in the middle..these machines do.
#66: All right. Go back through the process to the beginning
before, before this happens to it and describe to me
#01: I just see tall standing tubes. or rolls..rolls,
#66: Describe the area where these rolls are..in a broader
perspective,
#01: Large storage area, shipping receiving area.
#66: And from your perspective are we at the target site still?
#01: That's correct.

#66: Now go back further following this, these rolls to
+20 their point of origin. Describe their point of origin to
me. Stay with the rolls........
#01: I have a....apparently a large..uh, industrial type furnace,
but it's not a permanent fixture, it's like a temporary,
like you would dig your mine and you would, uh, build
your furnace temporarily at the mine.
#66: Look at a map and tell me where this is in relationship to
the target
#01: Uh, northwest across the very narrow thing of water..some
very rugged hills.
#66: Distance?..:,
#01: Sixty kilometers.
#66: All right. 'Return to the site now. Previously I asked you
to describe the activity at the site, and you said activity
was normal and that you perceived people coming and going.
+22 Focus now on this activity, and describe the people to me.
#01: Get very rugged people, some not wearing shirts. Uh, color-
ful scarves tied around their neck..tan pants, gray, uh,
appear to be heavy work clothes. Some wearing hats, base-
ball cap like hats. Very rugged type people..like unskilled
workers..laborers... Keep, the input I keep getting is, uh,
peasant stock, like a...
#66: Describe the foreman to me.
#01: Neat, trim, wearing dark green, open collar shirt and pants..
brown boots. That's all I'm getting.
#66: Describe the management to me
#01: Don't get any difference between the foreman and the
management.
#66: Do I understand that it's one and the same or are they
similar in appearance?
#01: No difference in description.
#66-: No difference in description?
#01: No.
#66: Let me try to clear this up in my own mind. You perceive
different people but different descriptions?

#01: Correct
#66: All right. Dressed all similarly?
#01: That's correct.
#66: All right. Describe your present position of observation...
#01: I don't know, Nowhere.
#66: Okay.. Describe for me...in broad terms..the number of
personnel involved in normal activity at this complex,...
+26 #01: Less than 150...when activity is normal. There'd be an
abnormal increase when activity isn't normal.
#66: All right. I have no further questions of the target area.
But I would like to give you now a few moments to comment
as you see fit on the target area.
PAUSE
#01: For some reason I get a impression that the..the function
of the target area is mobile, and that, uh...the buildings
are not incremental to the functions. Just happens to be
a place to be at the moment. I get a feeling that, uh,
there's something not right about the functions in that..
there's no agreement to the coordinates.
#66: Describe the experience you have which makes you feel this
way.
+29 #01: Uh, the coordinates of the target..and the target is this
place, time, and these should all intersect, all these..
circles should intersect, but they don't. There's only a
nebulous relationship. It's like looking through holea in
paper, they don't line up. So there's somethin' wrong..
somethin' wrong with the function of the target or the
coordinates.
#66: Describe the degree of error you are perceiving.
#01: The what?
#66: The degree of error in alignment of these functions.
#01: Uh uh, the..I perceive either a misconception of function
or..perhaps coordinates won't, uh, won't be good enough to
nail this target. Some other form of, uh, some other form
of task,
#66: All right.
#01: I don't know, I don't know.

#66: Any further comments?
#01: No.
#66: All right. Return your attention to me, the room, and let's
now prepare to draw those perceptions that you have had.
#01: Okay. On page one, it's a drawing of the general overall
area. And what I have is two high ridges/ left and right,
with a low point, or valley running down the center. City
area outlined in dotted lines. A road, sort of a "V" shaped
road going from the city to the perceived target area and
running off in two directions from there. And this whole
valley was a very lush, green valley.
Page two are the tank structures. I can't illucidate on that
any.
Page three is, uh, a blow-up of the target area, uh, with the
representative, uh, statements concerning the letters. I've
identified everything in letter form, and then written a
column on the right saying What they are. And these are
all relative to one another in size. I didn't show any
buildings exterior to the fence, but there are a bunch of
other buildings all over that area.
Uh, four is this machine type apparatus that looks like a
very high, very large like tool and die type machine, uh,
under which, uh, this roll of polished aluminum is being
sucked into this machine, so to speak, and it's stamping
out these parts, or pieces or whatever.
#66: Okay, now, uh, let's talk about in what building was this?
#01: Okay. You said, uh/ tell me what's in the white building,
or something like that. And I don't recall ever having
said any of the buildings were white, so I just gave you
whatever came into my mind. So I don't know where that
building is.
#66: Okay, so you can't tell me then, uh, in relationship to
three, which building has this stuff in it.
#01: No, I can't.
#66: All right.
#01: Page five is a layout of to point of origin, and What-
#66: Now let me understand. Point of origin of the raw material
or what you perceive as rolled aluminum is what I was after.
#01: Right. Right. Exactly. And, uh, what I've done is I've
put three squares on here. The large square is a city, and
6
Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000600590001-2

#01: the two small squares are target and. origin. And I've
indicated that it's sixty kilometers north northwest of
the target. And I labeled in and underlined water and
valleys and hills. There seems to be, from the edge of the
water gain' back there seems to be a row of, uh, flat valley
areas and hills and then valleys and then hills.
#66: Okay.
#01: And that's essentially it. Uh..I'm gonna try to explain to
you what I was talkin' about as far as the targeting. If
you were to take a cirele and you were to say you have three
circles, okay, just for sake of clarity- circle A is, uh,
the target of interest to U.S, Intelligence, circle B is the
coordinates, and circle C is the, uh, date/time location,
okay? And then you were to provide that kind of information
in a sealed envelope. Then essentially what the viewer
would be looking down would be this..this kind of thing.
He would be looking this way through these circles, right?
#66: Okay.
#01: Okay, well in this case-that's be A0 B and C. In this case
I was of the impression that I wasn't looking down circles
like that. I was looking like this way, through those cir-
cles. They weren't jiving, they weren't goin' together right.
#66: The information, the target, the coordinate and the date/
time did not seem to all fit together in the matrix.
#01: Right. If I had to- okay, if I had to coordinate it, what
I would say, I would break the target down into function..
of interest. Okay? And I would say location, coordinates.
And I would say now. This location coordinates is screwed
up. There's somethin' wrong with that.
#66: Okay. That was my next question. In these intersecting
rings, which one is screwed up? And you're saying it's the-
#01: e
The location coordinate's screwed up. Now that can mean
that one out of 25 buildings is of interest and the target
coordinates aren't centered on that building, they're cen-
tered somewhere else in the layout. That can mean the
coordinates are just plain all screwed up. Or that can mean
that the, uh-
#66: Okay, label this sketch as being, uh, targeting problem.
#01: Okay.
#66: Would be sketch number six, but just label it as targeting
problem, that's fine.
#01: Targeting problem.

Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000600590001-2
#66: Okay, I have one other question I'd like to ask. And
that is you had made a comment about...these building sit
here, but the function in them is mobile, and that they,
you don't have to do this function in the buildings, that
you could the function elsewhere.
#01: Right. And that may be part of the problem. I perceive
the function is of what's real importance. The buildings
don't matter. The machines don't matter. But what's being
done and how it's being done in the buildings does. And...
uh, there's just gotta be a better way of targeting this
target. You know, uh..
#66: Okay.
#01: There's somethin' wrong with the way it's bein' targeted
right now and I can't put my finger on it.
#66: Okee-doke. Any other comments you have?
#01: No.
#66: What kinda confidence do you have in the actual imagery
that you saw and the actual remote viewing experience?
#01: You're askin' the wrong person. I don't know. I don't-
#66: Okay. Sometimes you say boy, this is really a zingo.
But this time you're sayin' you just don't-
#01: It was so tough pullin' out what I pulled out today that,
uh, I, you know, I just don't know. I don't know if it
was tough because everything I got is super accurate or if
it was tough because there was nothin' there and I needed
to make somethin' up. You know, I don't know.
#66: Okay. That's good. You always have a comment,and that's
one.
#01: Okay.
#66: Thank you.
