(S/NOFORN) The following information was provided by the source on 3 July 1980 at 1030 hours. The information was described as pertaining to UTM coordinates SG1 B a. (S/NOFORN) The source described a large radar type tower as being at the above coordinates. He thought that it was approximately 60 feet high and. contained at least two whip antennae on the top, and two smaller ones on each side near the bottoms. of the disk. He thought there might be two other small disks near the top as. indicated by the circles containing an "X" in drawing #2. He also described the antenna shown to the left of the tower in the drawing as being attpched to the tower. He thought that the tower was operated by a military unit of 10 or 12 personnel for the. purpose of monitoring shipping lanes or routes. He thought it was like a radio relay station he had seen in Holland. He thought that there was a black top road between the tower and the beach, beyond which was the shipping lanes. The source described the area as a warm sunny climate, and that much of the foliage was of a thick broad leaf variety. b. (S/NOFORN) The source thought that the tower was used to monitor, direct or advise large cargo ships, freighters. He briefly mentioned a hidden or canvas covered cargo on a black Soviet ship. He seemed concerned that the cargo was covered when its presence on the ship was "not that big a deal, its available for public viewing." The source thought he had seen Slavik writing on the bow of the black ship.. He thought the cargo was of a military nature, fit's primarily bulk. cargo arms ammunition, blankets, etc., just logistical stuff and also some helicopters. c. (S/NOFORN) The source seemed at ease and confident during the interview. 2. (S/NOFORN) This data should be evaluated as soon as possible and comments. provided to this office not later than,15 July 1980. The comments will be used to evaluate the accuracy and intelligence value of the data provided by the source. 3 Incl Drawings Approved For Release 2000 8R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 TAB Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RQP46-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 TAB Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000400230002-2 Approved For Relea -96-00788R000400230002-2 Remote Viewing (RV) Session CD-78 1.
