SUBJECT: Summary of Unconfirmed Source Information Pertaining to the Area
Surrounding UTM Coordinate (S/NOFORN) (CD-74)
SG1B
1. (S/NOFORN) On the first of July at 1400, the followin information was provided
relative to the area surrounding CEO coordinate SG1B
a. (S/NOFORN) The source described a large building located on a small hill
that is very green. The Palm trees and lush vegetation make it appear very tropical.
Like a South American country. The building appeared to be about four stories high,
and shaped like the letter L. (See drawing #1.) It was described as looking like
a large old fashioned stone barracks or hotel. It appeared to be about 30 feet wide,
and each wing appeared to be 70 to 100 feet long. The wiring and fixtures appeared
very old. The building was also described as having three wrap around porches or
balconeys.
b. (S/NOFORN) The source believed that the building was being used as a
school. Some type of advanced courses were being taught to a group of people that
were all dressed alike with white shirts and tan or kaki trousers. A large sand
Nom./ table was reported to be used in the classroom discussions. (See drawing #2.) The
briefer appeared to be a non-caucasian, five foot five, male with greying hair, and
wearing a loose fitting tan or kaki uniform with brown belt, but not containing
ensignia or weapon.
c. (S/NOFORN) The source thought that the sand table depicted two rivers
running parallel with a line extending between them. The source felt that the line
was more important than the rivers. There were box shaped structures positioned along
the line which he thought looked like guard posts; however, he was not sure of the
scale of the table, and, therefore, was not comfortable with stating the purpose of
the box like shapes.
d. (S/NOFORN) The source seemed at ease and confident during the interview.
2. (S/NOFORN) This data should be evaluated as soon as possible and comments
provided to this office not later than2.5 July 1980. The comments will be used
to evaluate the accuracy and intelligence value of the data provided by the source.
