PAUSE +03 #08: Uh...little, two-storey, white building on the left. A clump of trees on my left. PAUSE #66: Okay. Now, face........ What's directly in front of you? That was to your left. Describe your position now as you observe this. #08: Right over the field. Right in the center. #66: Okay. What is behind you? +06 #08: Big, gray building behind the tree line. #66: All right. Move slowly towards this big, gray building. #08: All right. #66: Now, as you approach it, describe it to me. PAUSE #08: Looks like the maintenance shop. The old maintenance shop. #66: Describe the size of the gray building. PAUSE #08: It's about, about half the, be about half the width of the, of the football field on the goal sign where the, where the cage is, all right. PAUSE I don't know... #66: Stand, stand now on the gray building, on the roof of the gray building #08: Yeah. PAUSE #08: This is a...the first picture is justOne: of green and the second picture is one of pickets and barbed wire, like in tha World War I trenches. #66: And, beyond that. PAUSE +10 #08: Like a couple of guys plodding around Like working around ...uh...with the vines or something #66: And, further beyond that. #08: Then, I got the other portion of the field. #66: And, go further now beyond that. PAUSE #08: There are trucks. #66: And beyond that. #08: Just beyond the field by the tree line there's a... two or three trucks, and like a...like a temporary outpost or staging area or something. #66: And, what's at the far end of the field? #08: It's just beyond the far end. May be part of it that's beyond the, beyond the rectangle of this field. Then beyond that it's just like a wall and beyond that is a street. Beyond that is like a free area of the, the city area. #66: Okay. Turn back now so you can see the gray building. #08: Yeah. #66: SG1A Now, in a straight line, as you face the gray building, in a straight line move directly along the straight line. That will be north. Move along the straight line over the top of the large gray building approximately 500 yards. My first impression is a red brick, two-storey, square building, rectangular. #66: Focus your attention now on the SG1A #08: Okay. I'm in front of it. #66: Describe the entrance to me. PAUSE #08: It's a recessed entrance White cement steps. #66: Stand on the white cement steps and look away from the building and describe this Scene to me. SG1A SG1A SG1A #08: With: my back to the entrance? #66: Yes. PAUSE #08: Again, a grassy field... tree line, and there's a pole that stands out to the left of the field. Where the light up on...light on the pole goes three quarters of the way. #66: Okay. Now, as you stand at the entrance to the #08: Facing it? #66: ...facing now, ask yourself, what is the function of this building? PAUSE +16 #08: I'm going to give you some raw data. I've got one hell of a cramp in my foot- that's distracting me. It's like an old school house with, witlp wooden banisters and stairs. Has the flavor of an old school house. #66: Let's take a minute to relax your foot now. Let's take just a few minutes to relex:--your foot. Just relax and hold your focus on the target, and take a few minutes to relax your foot. PAUSE Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96- 670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP9 #08: Okay. You can go ahead. #66: All right. You say this building has the impression for you of a #08: Yeah, old #66: ...old school house. #08: Yeah, okay. There's a...as soon as you come in the thing that draws my attention right away. It's just like a big, like a,big pay master window on the left entrance. Like you would find in an old bank or something. #66: Describe the activity in the building at the present time. Right now. PAUSE #08: Let me take care of one more thing before I do that. #66: Fine. #08: There's a, there's a flavor of an open area with people with typewriters doing some clerical stuff, and that's, that's what it was before. #66: I'm sorry. That's what it was before. #08: Yeah. #66: And, how about now? PAUSE #08: I got the impression of .sMall groups, small groups Of men....there were...very distinct groups of, like small clusters of men. Are very definitely positioned in the left, right on top floor and left, right, behind floor stick out like light bulbs. Impression is of one of the guard force. Especially the one one on the bottom right. #66: Tell me what makes you say this. #08: Ugh like a...the impression with field jacket: field jacket, no, that's not a military. It must be like ...uh..like the whole new (mumbling) atmosphere, but without, without any, without any uniforms. There's an impression of weapons and field jackets, #66: Is this in one area of the building? Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP 0300670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP +22 #08: Yeah. Mainly on the right bottom floor. PAUSE #66: So, I would like to ask you once again, focusing on the present time, what is the function slash activity in this building? PAUSE +24 #08: It's a temporary type housing area for those four groups of people that serves as a sort of a headquarters type thing #66: And, what are these four groups again? #08: Where? #66: What are the four groups that you've mentioned? #08: They're just four groups of people. The one that keeps (mumbling) comes to my attention as to one of...bottom floor to the right which is kind of guerilla military oriented. #66: And there are other groups? +27 #08: Yeah. These areas to accommodate these groups, but they're not necessarily there. But, it could be there, it could be brought there. And, it's planned it would be brought there, at a time. #66: All right. Now, I want you to hold your focUs on this building. Hold your focus and listen very carefully to me as you move in time. Hold your focus now, hold your focus carefully. Move in time into the future to the early morning hours, past mid-night, paSt mid-night, into the Very early morning hours, tomorrow. Move forward in time to the early morning hours, past mid- night. Move now. #08: Okay. #66: And, at this time describe the activity in the building to me. Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RD PAUSE 6 0300670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07: CIA-RDP9 0670001-6 #08: That group on the bottom floor to the right is reduced to about 2 or 3 people. #66: How many was it before? #08: Before? #66: Yes. #08: About 8 or 9. #66: All right. I'm sorry. I disturbed you. Continue to explore the building in the early morning hours, and describe the activity to me. +29 #08: Yeah. There's There's an impression of 5 or 6 people, and they were sleeping on the floor upstairs. Again, to the right. PAUSE #66: In here, with these people? #08: I don't see anybody in the left seCtions. Again, it's as if it's just they're ready to accommodate people, but, there's nothing there. #66: All right. Tell me about the sleeping people on the upper right. PAUSE #08: It's as if this was a very...kind of recent, temporary arrangement that will become more permanent, and stable. That's like, like from sleepong on the floor to cots. to beds. They haven't reached the bed stage, yet. It's developing into a more stable facility, so to speak. I don't think they're hostages. I really don't. #66: Ahh. What is the nature of this group of people? #08: They're, they're the, they're part of the guard keeping force...uh.-..I think this is an assembly point of some kind where they report, and leave. #66: All right. Now, I want you to hold your attention very carefully in these early morning hours. At this time I would like to move outside the building and explore the security perimeters on the exterior grounds around this building. Move outside the building and describe the exterior grounds in the early morning hours after mid-night. Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP js 300670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 :CIA-RDP96- E1 0001-6 67 #08: It's an iron gate on steel hinges. #66: Is the gate guarded during these early morning hours of your observation? #08: No. PAUSE #66: Is the gate secured? +37 #08: Yeah. It's like as if it were wrapped around with a chain and a padlock. I don't know. It's definitely locked. SG1A SG1A #66; Tell me what makes you say its definitely locked. #08: Because, because of the. chain wrapped around it with a lock plus this ..normal gate lock that, just the impression is definitely locked. #66: All right. I have no further questions about the time period now, at the target. I have no further questions about the target. I would like to give you the opportunity to further, explore the target, and comment as you see fit. PAUSE #08: The left portion of that building, particularly the second floor, (not audible) seems to be reserved for the, some hostages and if the going gets tough to them, this is. .makes it readily easy for 'em to zap in there if they feel threatened. I get the impression, which is not allied at all to your building, that this is, this is the overall attitude, and that is to segretate them in small groups, and therefore, making them much more vulnerable. #66: All right. #08: That's all. #66: All right. Let's prepare to draw the impressions you've had. Focus your attention back on present time. Move your arms, move your legs and prepare to draw. Okay. As youjstart to draw here, I think the first, thing we want is an overview of what we referred to as the Your impression of that. The size and shape and whathat building is for. #08: Yeah, yeah. Can I just start then with when I was actually in front of the building. How I found it. Then, I'll draw the overview as it came into play. I'll start with this one here Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-0(108 170001-6 9 Approved For Release 2000/08/07: CIA-RDP9 00670001-6 #66: Certainly. That's fine. Very good. #08: It was a very square or rather rectangular building, and I got the impression of red brick, okay. There was a recessed entrance right in the center. This was a recessed entrance. I goin-g to draw this because this, this is the impression I got, okay. Because I was right in front of the doors, and this wasn't very high. The stairs weren't very-high, at all, and it led to a, kind of a gravel path. I'll label these afterwards. Something like that. And, this appeared to be grass here. The white portions. Something like that. There was trees here and here, and there was shrub, and there appeared to be like a two-storey, two-storey building. I'll put that. It was red brick. I'm going to label these as I saw them. Particularly, the recessed entrance. The cement stairs. Which weren't high at all. It's just like taking one or two steps and you're right on the grounds, okay. That group that I first saw, and I'll put that over here, was in this section, and I had very distinct perception. #66: So you've labeled A here as being #08: Yeah, yeah. That group of 8 or 9 people that were there during the daylight with the fatigue jackets, and gave the impression they were part of a guard force, or something. #66: Okay. #08: Okay. Uh...B, there was this is where I later found this other group that were sleeping in these temporary type facilities, and there was a very distinct impression in C and D, and in D there was a place, they're ready to accommodate people. I would assume the hostages. But, there was nobody there in neither instance. It was just something that was there in the event of whatever. That there would be somebody there then, okay. For ID purposes, uh, as soon as you came in this place here, this is where I was trying to get a, a feel for what was in there, and there was a, like a teller's window, okay. #66: Okay. What you're drawing now is actually inside the entrance. .when you go inside. 10 Approved For Release 2000/08/07: CIA-RDP96-007 t t 11,70001-6 , Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96 0670001-6 #08: Inside, but I'm not going to stop the normal route, okay. #66: Okay. #08: And, also on the first floor was an area like a typing pool area or a bank area;at one time was used for something like this. For clerical type work. #66: Okay. Is this the same thing that you're talking about with the school or is this different? #08: Yeah. The first one was an old rustic school with wooden banisters and stuff which reminded me of an old parochial school type...going to wooden stairs, and everything else. Then it kind of changed into a, sort of a clerical banking facility, okay. And, those were the two impressions that what you were trying to find out about (two people, talking at the same time, unable to decipher what was being said) the activity. #66: Okay. And, but, you felt those, those were kind of past events. As though the building had a history to it. #08: Yes. Yes. Yes. The school was even much older than what the, the clerical activity was in the recent past. Very recent past. Right, okay. Okay. I'll label the second one 2. And, I got the impression here, I'm going to start where, where this building was but there was, but there was a, quite a huge rectangle, okay. When I first picked up the location that building was in here someplace, and kind of close to this wall here. #66: Okay. This is a wall, then? #08: Yeah. #66: Okay. #08: This...a wall, and this is a continuation of the wall. As if it were tucked in and secure in that corner of the wall where the wall in proximityhere, and proximity there, and uh..4this may not be accurate. I don't know how far it is to that wall. Definitely, the impression of the wall be ...... ....(turned tape over) The..uh..impression was that the building was..uh.. physically located in quite close proximity to, to the wail. This would be the back of the building here. 11 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP TO670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-0Q 770001-6 #08: The rear. Here, this may be deceiving. There may be more space than that. I really didn't pay too close attention,, but, it's not that far away. #66: On the right, then, you think there might be a little more space than you've actually drawn? #08: Yes. Yes. Yes. #66: Okay. Then, to the front. #08: The front...I...there was plenty of space in the front. There was grass, and something....I want to say there was kind of a road there. I don't know why I'm saying that, but that's what it was. Something that I had to jump over to get to the front gate. What I consider the front gate or what I saw as the front gate, and the front gate was, this I lost someplace. I didn't follow all of this. There was an iron gate. Quite common. Okay. Like that. Okay. This was very well secured, although I didn't see anybody being posted as a guard or anything else over there. There was..uh..two vivid impressions. One was a big lock, and here a very old lock, but functional, and then of a chain around the center of that gate with a huge lock, as well. #66: Okay. Now, I remember you mentioning as you were standing on the steps looking out the building something about a light pole or some kind of a pole or something. What was that? #08: Oh! Yeah, yeah. I picked up .a light pole someplace around here, and the distinctive thing about that was that about 3/4 Of the way there was a, kind of a reflecting light. Something. That's exagerated, but it kind of attracted my attention. #66: Okay. Somewhere out in front of the building now is a pole that sticks up like a light pole. #08: Yeah, yeah. I would say about 3/4 of the way between the building and the front wall. Someplace around that was a huge pole and a light. Like a telephone pole witha light and it was lit. #66: Okay. When you were exploring in the dark hours of darkness this shown some light on the grounds? #08: Yes. Yes. It was meant to shown the grounds somehow. Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA- H000300670001-6 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP967 0670001-6 #66: Okay, okay, okay. #08: Now you have to prompt me; I don't remember. #66: Okay. Well, that's..uh..the things I was interested in... Uh...you had mentioned also an area, a flak jackets, and weapons, and a flavor of guards. #08: Yeah. I was trying to identify who these people were. Were they hostages? Were they whatever they were, and, uh, I got the distinct impression that this served as some sort of command post where the people came in and left for duty...in this thing here. They always had a force present, and then during the evening hours, that group in A dwindled. And, like most of 'em went to sleep upstairs, and they had only 2 or 3 downstairs. #66: Oh, are you saying then, that the people in B, there is a possibility that the people you saw in B, sleeping. #08: Yeah, were part of the A group at night. #66: All right. #08: Okay. And, that you had only 2 or 3 guys on duty with one that was supposed to stay awake, more or less successfully. #66: Okay. Anything else? #08: No. #66: Okay. That's fine then.
