SUBJECT: Unconfirmed Source Information Pertainin to Actions Pre-
dicted
1. (U) The following information was provided:
a. (S) Source reported an excavation type of ditch, with a gravel
flooring approximately 8-10 feet in depth and 20 feet in width in the
vicinity of the above location.

ing along the side. (Sources description does not indicate if this ex-
cavation is recent construction or a permanent feature at the location.)
c. (S) Source reported a tunnel like opening at the end of the ex-
cavation, with lights hanging from the ceiling. This tunnel opening
appeared to go very far back from the opening as the lights were approx-

d. (S) Source does not report any people other than an interior tunnel
maintenance crew. He did state that he could hear a generator (large KW)
start up in the back ground. Stated that it sounded very much like it was
already running and had a load switched to it.
e. (S) Source did not state the origin of his information, but said
that he felt there would be a demolition or deliberate destruction of the
tunnel with explosives on or about 1000 hrs, 24 June 1980.
2. (S) When specifically questioned about the possible nature of event or
level of activity which might or might not be planned for 1000 hours on the
24th of June 1980, He responded that he did not know of any event or activity
which was supposed to occur other than what should be normal for that date
and time.
3. (S) Request the above information be evaluated and comments be provided
to the undersigned in writing no later than 19 June 1980, this will permit
a full evaluation of the source of information for both accuracy and intell-
igence value. Information is pertinent to 1000 hours, 24 June 1980.
