JUSTIFICATION:
Required to provide faster service and expanded capability for Imagery
Analysts on th AIAWS.
TIME REQUIREMENT:
4th quarter
IMPACT OF LACK OF SERVICE ON OTHER PROGRAMS:
DIA will not be able to expand AIAWS service between NPIC, DIAC and
Pentagon.

JUSTIFICATION:
These communications requirements will provide NPIC personnel with increased
support in two categories. The first category provides the NPIC analyst and
the data intelligence analyst with critical data base and electronic message
handling information through SAFE, CAMS, FLASHBOARD, and DESIST Systems.
The second category provides NPIC personnel with computer support functions
by accessing the corporate system (i.e., Finance, Logistics, Personnel,
Contracts, etc.)
TIME REQUIREMENT:
90 circuits activated incrementally during the fiscal year.
IMPACT OF LACK OF SERVICE ON OTHER PROGRAMS:
NPIC will not be able to have sufficient access to Headquarters based
intelligence data bases and will be unable to fully coordinate with DI
analysts.

COMMENT : In order to support these increased services, the
existing communications links and computer systems must
be expanded. Eventhough, the cost estimates are
presented by circuit, the cost is based on providing
equipment to support all 90 circuits.
