: TEMPEST Requirements
2. The computer devices which we expect to install
over the next few years include; CRT terminals, printing
terminals, floppy disk drives, medium speed printers and
minicomputers with high capacity disk drives and tape
drives. In many cases the computer terminals must be
placed near non-secure telephones since they will be an
integral part of a person's work station.
3. While it is hard to determine the specific life
cycle for the equipment we will be selecting, past experience
indicates that it will have a useful life of seven to ten
years. Thus, it is reasonable to expect that some of the
computer devices selected now will still be in operation
in the late 1900's and possibly the early 1990's.
