Chief, Jordan Bureau SUBJECT : Jordan Bureau Cruising Flan for 1987 Jordan Bur'eau' cruising projects for the next 12 months will be essentially geared toward carrying out a thorough survey of Gulf and Arabian Peninsula transmitters and repeating the March 1985 survey at the new embassy site. The projects are: 1. Carrying out a thorough and comprehensive survey of the entire Gulf and Arabian Peninsula broadcaSsat spectrum, including radios recently adc:led to bureau coverage, with the view to updating fr'eyuenc i e and transmission times and considering any new radios meriting coverage. Conducting further checks on Riyadh television programs. Previous checks at the bureau and one or two remote sites revealed that. Riyadh television, which broadcasts on the same channel as Damascus television, is overpowered by Damascus. Thorough checks are planned:( at different remote sites in Amman to establish any improvement in reception even with Damascus on the air. 3. Repeating the March 1985 cruising survey at the new embassy s i t e . A battery-operated Sony OR(-.._ ;_ , :: 0 radio receiver was used in the 1985 survey.
