A simpler schematic reveals that the old structure persists if you
understand that the National Foreign Assessment Center is a
community name for the Directorate of Intelligence. The former
U.S. Intelligence Board, advisory to the CIA on National
Intelligence Estimates and other community policies, is now called
National Foreign Intelligence Board (NFIB). It is still made up of
chiefs of all the intelligence components of the government.
