NOTE FOR: Rae M. Huffstutler, Director of Administration
FROM
Office of Congressional Affairs
SUBJECT : Visit of House Post Office & Civil Service
Committee Staff Members
Attached is a list of our visitors from the House Post
Office and Civil Service Committee who will be with us on
Thursday, 31 August.
The purpose of the session is primarily to acquaint the
staffers with the Agency and with some of our programs. They
will be provided with an orientation to the Agency's
organization and activities, information on some of our benefit
programs, and an explanation of the type of problems that we
experience with bills originating with the Committee. A copy
of their schedule is attached.
----,
,...1The briefings will not address our proposed flexible- i
program unless they should raise the issue. Then, we should
provide only a general-type answer and say that we are putting
together a proposal for such a program, but first must get a
blessing from the Administration and from our_Oversight_
Committees before we can brief them. '
All of the visitors are from the Minority side of the
Committee (staffers from the Majority visited CIA on 30 June).
A copy of the prepared itinerary fo the day is also
attached. It is similar to the one that we used for previous
visitors except that a tour of the Comput r Center has been
added.
