DA 89-0977 f June 1989 NOTE DOR THE REOORD: OS, '44,01 - On 30 May OS/ISSG personnel provided the attached briefing to the ADDA/DDA on implementation of the DCID 1/16 Task Force recommendations. - Throughout the briefing, the DDA expressed dismay regarding the sorry state of our computer security posture--he thought we were better off than we actually are. - All acknowledged the technology required to provide the needed security is not here yet and that this area is fraught with extremely difficult problems. The DDA concluded that OS was going in the right direction. - He said he would approve the first three recommendations after OS had briefed the major concerned offices in the other Directorates, such as OIR, OIT, OD&E. - OS could then also proceed with Recommendation 5. - Regarding resources, he advised the through the budget process. - I confirmed that the resource chart difference between what they say is the program (INFOSEC initiative).
