MEMORANDUM FOR THE UNITED STATES INTELLIGENCE BOARD
SUBJECT: Report on High-Altitude Coverage of Cuba
1. COMOR reports that in accordance with paragraph lc
of USIB-D-41. 14/53 a review has been made of the coverage
of Cuba for the 2 weeks ending 23 October. The reporting
periods, based on the BRASS KNOB reports of the COMOR
Working Group, are 10-16 October (CWG-BK-47) and 17-23
October (CWG-.BK-48). 25X1
During 10-23 October BRASS KNOB missions were
flown. Those on 13 and 19 October carried the new 112A
camera. On the 18th, the mission carried R & D. color.
Area coverage in photography with 25 percent or less
cloud cover amounted to for the 14-day period.
All of the highest priority targets were covered during
the two weeks.
2. Since 23 October, weather conditions generally have not
been favorable for reconnaissance. Missions were cancelled on
24, 25, and 28 October, and cloud cover has reduced the effective-
ness of the missions flown. A third mission was flown with the
112A camera on 27 October. Based on the latest data available,
of the land area of Cuba was covered during the 14?-
day period 14-27 October.
