Subject: Wage Change - Journeymen and Employees Paid Percentages of
Journeyman Rates
1. Purpose. This Notice promulgates a wage change for Compositors,
Bookbinders, Offset Photographers, Offset Platemaker-Strippers, Offset
Strippers, Offset Pressmen, Cylinder Pressmen; General Services
Journeymen (Carpenters, Electricians, Painters, Pipefitters, Machinists,
Stationary Engineers, Masonry Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Sheet
Metal Mechanics, and Welders); and employees paid percentages of
journeyman rates (Offset Press Assistants, apprentices, trainees in
programs leading to journeyman proficiency, premium positions, journey-
men in cross-training programs).
2. Supersedures. This Notice supersedes the following GPO Notices:
GPO Notice 640-126, Subject: Wage Change - Journeymen and
Employees Paid Percentages of Journeyman Rates, dated
November 30, 1982.
GPO Notice 640-131, Subject: Wage Change - Monotype Castermen,
Saw Operators, Slide Bank Operator, Sorts Casterme~, Spool Desk-
men, Matrix Keepers, dated November 30, 1982.
3. New Hourly Rates. As a result of a wage conference conducted under
the authority of 44 U.S.C. 305, the hourly rates of pay for craftsmen,
which are listed below, were approved by the Joint Committee on Printing
on September 23, 1982, to be effective June 18, 1983.

4. Adjustments. The above hourly wage rates have been adjusted to the
nearest cent, counting one-half cent and over as a whole cent.
5. Cancellation. This Notice is canceled on June 17, 1984.
