REFERENCE: Memo from D/OTS to D/OP, dated 24 June 1981;
Subject: Graphic Arts (GS) Wage Schedule
Adjustment
1. Your referent memorandum requests that Position
Management and Compensation Division (PMCD) investigate a
perceived inequity between the hourly rate for Document Finisher
Specialist/Offset Pressman (GAB-02) and Offset/Letterpressman
(GAA-03). I am informed by PMCD that the rates for these
classes of positions were based on actual evaluations of duties
and that there is no indication of erroneous computations.
2. Attached is a summary of PMCD's review of this matter.
If, after reviewing these findings, you still feel that a.n
adjustment to the GA Wage Schedule is in order, you may
wish to request that PMCD conduct job audits of the Document
Finisher Specialist/Offset Pressman positions to determine
whether the hourly rate for these positions should be based on
the rate for Offset Pressman. Please contact
in the Policy and Services Staff, PMCD, i you nee
further information.
