Dear Mr. John9ffn:
In re and to the inquiry made by your represent-
ative, Sheila Gottesman, as to the disposition of 170
posters donated to this agency. I an attaching a copy
of our correspondence sent to Donald McClelland in
July of 1992. Due to the aesd of mounting (wheat
paste and foam core), the majority of these posters
have deteriorated beyond use during the past ten years.
Some, however, continue to grace various offices.
We regret that the Gar* Antroasian print, "New
Mexico II" disappeared more than seven years ago. A
documented search through all directorates and
buildings proved unsuccessful. Please let us know
if another copy from the edition can be located. Per-
haps we can assist in a replacement in kind.
Again we thank the McParlands for the donation
of posters.

Dear Don,
Ann Halpern was here this morning from your office,
making an inventory of our holdings on loan from the NCFA.
In that connection she mentioned 170 posters which were
given to the Agency through the NCFA. The purpose of my
note is to say that, per the original agreement, these
posters have been mounted on foam core. We have held three
exhibitions of various items and all of the posters have now
been disseminated to our offices.
We are mos$(appreciative for the opportunity, not only
to have been given these posters, but also for the use of
the paintings from the NCFA on loan.
