1. SIGNIFICANCE: AT LEAST 33 MEDIUM TANKS ARE ON THE QUAY NEXT TO
AN UNIDENTIFIED MERCHANT SHIP, AND AT LEAST FOUR PROBABLE
ARMORED VEHICLES ARE IN THE HOLD OF A SD-14-CLASS MERSHIP.

2. REMARKS: THE MAJORITY OF THE TANKS WERE PROBABLY OFFLOADED
FROM ED MERSHIP WHICH HAS ARRIVED SINCE
THE HOLDS OF THIS MERCHANT SHIP APPEAR TO
BE EMPTY. (SWN)
SD-14-CLASS MERSHIPS HAVE BEEN USED IN THE PAST BY THE CUBANS
FOR ARMS TRANSSHIPMENTS TO ANGOLA. THIS MAY BE THE SAME
SD-14-CLASS MERSHIP SEEN ONLOADING FOUR PROBABLE ARMORED
VEHICLES AT MARIEL POINT MARANTE WHARVES NO. 1, 2, AND 3
