MEMORANDUM FOR: Mr. Robert Walsh, Deputy Assistant Secretary
for Intelligence, Department of Energy
SUBJECT: Special ROWG Session, IR Conference
1. The Radar and Optical Working Group will hold a special IR conference
on 11-13 October 1989, at the DIA Center, sponsored by FTD. Although notice
of the conference will be disseminated through ROWG channels, I would like to
emphasize the significance of this meeting and extend a personal invitation to
you and members of your staff.
2. We hope you can find time in your schedule to join us from 0830-1030
on the first day. Feel free to invite other executive-level members of your
staff for all or part of the first day (see attached agenda).
3. A more complete agenda will be distributed through ROWG channels.
Please notify the conference manager, Ralph Fargnoli, FTD/SWDEI, AV 787-2955,
or commercial [phone], and pass clearances to FTD and DIA/DT-38 with an
information copy to FTD/SQDEI by COB Tuesday, 3 October 1989, if you can
attend. A separate roster will be maintained for conference attendees,
therefore, please send clearances even if term certified at DIA.
