1. This memorandum formalizes an earlier verbal request for "hard copy"
2. The National Warning Staff, an arm of the National Intelligence
Officer for Warning, is located within the National Military Intelligence
Center and supports the NIO/W in his strategic warning responsibilities by
providing reasonable alternative analysis of global and regional
developments. While the reports you provide to members of the National
Warning Staff are also available to them at the CIA Headquarters, our
arrangement with you will be more timely and secure, since we will not have to
physically transport time-sensitive material via courier.
