As you may be aware, my office is embarked on an energetic and detailed
effort to expand the horizons of warning beyond the military-related focus
that currently dominates many warning issues. That effort requires work on
economic and political issues.
Recently) (performed his annual active duty
tour with theNWWS alit became very clear to us that Ed's knowledge and
background can be key to our progress on economic warning indicator
methodology. Ed can help us analytically as well as in the development of our
IMA requirements.
I will be talking to MGEN Jim Pfautz about the formation of an IMA
validated program to support the National Intelligence Officer for Warning and
the National Warning staff (NWS). Therefore, I request your assistance to
have extended in the AFIS/RE program and assigned to the
NWS for training until our larger requirements can be validated.
Our program is receiving high-level attention and our basic requirements
will be developed around a key effort chaired by the Vice President of the
United States. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. M point of
