SUBJECT: NWS Staffing
1. Jim Pfautz has been working actively to
fill the Air Force billet on the National Warning
Staff, which became vacant shortly after my arrival.
I am close to making a final decision -- a young
Air Force Academy graduate who is a Soviet area
specialist and is hungry for the position. He
will also be available in the near future.
2_ We are also in the process of rotating
the Army position, which will become vacant in late
spring. Will keep you informed on our progress.
3. Both billets are covered by the Service
components.
