1. I would like to express our deep appreciation and
thanks for your efforts, and the efforts of _all ^the staff at
of Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) staffers
Charles. Andreae, Robin Cleveland, and Larry Kettlewell such a
success. All three staffers have repeatedly commented to me
and to Whitley Bruner, of my Senate Branch, that their visit
was not only instructional, but'also highly enjoyable. One
staffer exclaimed that this was the most memorable trip yet
on SSCI business. (U)
2. As you can see in the attached letter to the Acting
Director of Central Intelligence,. Mr. Kettlewell singles out
yourself
Staffers' 28-29 March Visit
for special (and well deserved) praise. we in-cne
Legislative Liaison Division most gratefully echo those

long-term reverberations among the staff of a key oversight
committee. (U)
3. Mr. Kettlewell notes in his letter that such visits
foster better understanding between the SSCI and the Agency.

that this training involves. (U)
4. You and your staff should certainly be commended for

just what the doctor ordered. You may have succeeded so well
during this last visit, in fact, that the other SSCI staffers
may request a visit soon to
find out what all the excitement is about. Nothing succeeds
