+ Production Group Linguist and native Korean speaker
on her own initiative and with Daily Reporting Division concurrence,
,requested Seoul Bureau to videotape the 15 January televised confession
of the alleged North Korean agent implicated in the bombing of the KAL
25X1 plane in November. reviewed the videotape, noted linguistic
indications that the agent is a North Korean, and presented her findings
25X1 at an NIO meeting on 20 January. Copies of the videotape and
notes were requested by several Intelligence Community offices and by the
American Embassy in Moscow, which is makin the case to the Soviets that
25X1 the agent appears to be North Korean.
