MEMORANDUM FOR: Acting Chief, Career Management Office, DA
FROM:
Aomplistrative itaff, FBIS, DST
SUBJECT: MG Field Position in FBIS
FBIS 1408-88
18 March 1988
I would appreciate your reviewing the MG career development profile which
was evidently forwarded to the field last fall. It mistakenly lists an
assignment to a FBIS field Bureau as a GS 9-11 entry level position. FBIS has
two MG positions in the field, Okinawa and London, both of which are at the
GS-13 level. Would you please correct the profile before any future
publication or panel meetings, indicating the FBIS field positions as
Level II.

when determining the training, and types of assignments which would be
appropriate for each officer at each level of experience. It is intended as a
flexible tool, and not as a rigid blueprint that must be followed without
deviation.
The various levels generally correspond with the following GS grades.
